Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi adanya permasalahan dalam pembelajaran IPAS pada siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 1 Jalaksana, permasalahannya ada siswa yang kurang mandiri dalam mengerjakan tugas yang diberikan oleh guru sehingga tidak dapat menyelesaikan tugas tersebut. Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan dan peningkatan sikap mandiri siswa antara kelas yang menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) dengan menggunakan model Discovery Learning. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian quasi eksperimen, dan bentuk desain quasi eksperimen yang digunakan adalah non-equivalent control group design. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan angket, wawancara, dan observasi. Untuk subjek penelitiannya adalah seluruh siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 1 Jalaksana yang dimana kelas IV A sebagai kelas kontrol dan kelas IV B sebagai kelas eksperimen. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan dan peningkatan antara kelas yang menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) dengan model Discovery Learning terhadap sikap mandiri siswa pada mata pelajaran IPAS di kelas IV di SD Negeri 1 Jalaksana. Kelas yang mendapatkan perlakuan dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) adalah kelas IV B.

This research was motivated by problems in science learning in grade IV students of SD Negeri 1 Jalaksana, the problem is that there are students who are less independent in doing the tasks given by the teacher so they cannot complete the task. The purpose of this study was to determine the differences and improvement of students' independent attitudes between classes using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model using the Discovery Learning model. The method used in this study is quantitative research method with quasi-experimental research type, and the form of quasi-experimental design used is non-equivalent control group design. The instruments in this study were using questionnaires, interviews, and observations. The research subjects are all grade IV students of SD Negeri 1 Jalaksana, where class IV A as the control class and class IV B as the experimental class. It can be concluded that there are differences and improvements between classes that use the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model and the Discovery Learning model towards students' independent attitudes in science subjects in grade IV at SD Negeri 1 Jalaksana. The class that gets treatment using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model is class IV B.
