Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh rendahnya keterampilan berbicara siswa kelas V SDN 2 Cineumbeuy Kecamatan Lebakwangi Kabupaten Kuningan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan dan peningkatan metode pembelajaran show and tell terhadap keterampilan berbicara siswa kelas V SDN 2 Cineumbeuy. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu Quasi�Eksperiment dengan desain One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Subjek Penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas V SDN 2 Cineumbeuy yang berjumlah 49 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengetahui tingkat keterampilan berbicara adalah dengan menggunakan rubrik keterampilan berbicara. Berdasarkan pengujian hipotesis diperoleh bahwa �ℎ����� sebesar 8,82 dan ������ sebesar 2,009 dengan taraf kepercayaan 95%. Data tersebut menunjukan bahwa 8,28 > 2,009 atau �ℎ����� > ������. Artinya �� ditolak dan �1 diterima, dengan demikian uji hipotesis N-Gain dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan peningkatan keterampilan berbicara siwa antara siswa yang menggunakan metode pembelajaran show and tell dengan siswa yang menggunakan metode ceramah.
This research was motivated by the low speaking skills of fifth grade students at SDN 2 Cineumbeuy, Lebakwangi District, Kuningan Regency. This research was carried out with the aim of finding out the differences and improving the show and tell learning method on the speaking skills of class V students at SDN 2 Cineumbeuy. The method used in this research is Quasi-Experiment with a One�Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The subjects of this research were all class V students at SDN 2 Cineumbeuy, totaling 49 students. The instrument used to determine the level of speaking skills is to use a speaking skills rubric. Based on hypothesis testing, it was obtained that the calculation was 8.82 and the ������ was 2.009 with a confidence level of 95%. The data shows that 8.28 > 2.009 or > ������.This means that �� is rejected and �1 is accepted, thus the N-Gain hypothesis test can be concluded that there is a difference in the increase in students' speaking skills between students who use the show and tell learning method with students who use the lecture method.
