Abstract

Kemampuan berpikir kreatif adalah kemampuan penting yang harus dimiliki oleh setiap individu untuk menciptakan sesuatu yang baru. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa dalam muatan IPAS, yang disebabkan oleh penggunaan model pembelajaran yang kurang bervariasi dan tidak cukup melibatkan siswa secara aktif, sehingga siswa kesulitan dalam mengungkapkan ide atau gagasan dari suatu masalah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan 1) perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kreatif antara siswa yang menggunakan model Project Based Learning (di kelas eksperimen) dengan siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran ekspositori (di kelas kontrol), dan 2) peningkatan kemampuan berpikirkreatif antara siswa yang menggunakan model Project Based Learning (di kelas eksperimen) dengan siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran ekspositori (di kelas kontrol). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian kuasi-eksperimen dan non-equivalen control group. Variabel dalam penelitian ini adalah model Project Based Learning sebagai indicator bebas dan kemampuan berpikir kreatif sebagai indicator terikat. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SD Negeri 2 Purwawinangun. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes berupa 7 soal esai dan observasi aktivitas siswa yang mencakup indikator kemampuan berpikir kreatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) terdapat perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kreatif antara siswa yang menggunakan model Project Based Learning (di kelas eksperimen) dengan siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran ekspositori (di kelas kontrol), dan 2) terdapat peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif antara siswa yang menggunakan model Project Based Learning (di kelas eksperimen) dengan siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran ekspositori (di kelas kontrol).

The ability to think creatively is an Important ability that every Individual must have to create something new. This research is motivated by the low creative thinking abilities of students in science content, which is caused by the use of learning models that are less varied and do not involve students actively enough, so that students have difficulty expressing ideas or ideas about a problem. The purpose of this research is to describe 1) differences in creative thinking abilities between students who use models Project Based Learning (in the experimental class) with students who use the expository learning model (in the control class), and 2) increasing creative thinking abilities among students who use the Project Based Learning (in the experimental class) with students who use the expository learning model (in the control class). This research uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental type of research non-equivalent control group. The variable in this research is the model Project Based Learning as the independent variable and creative thinking ability as the dependent variable. The subjects of this research were fifth grade students at SD Negeri 2 Purwawinangun. Data was collected through a test in the form of 7 essay questions and observation of student activities which included indicators of creative thinking abilities. The research results show that 1) there are differences in creative thinking abilities between students who use models Project Based Learning (in the experimental class) with students who use the expository learning model (in the control class), and 2) there is an increase in creative thinking abilities among students who use the Project Based Learning (in the experimental class) with students who use the expository learning model (in the control class).
