Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan Metode Debat Terhadap Keterampilan Berbicara Siswa Kelas V SDN 3 Purwawinangun, masalah di sekolah ini adalah kurangnya keterampilan berbicara siswa. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan ialah Quasi Eksperimental Design tipe Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Populasi pada penelitian ini berjumlah 43 siswa. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes dan observasi. Uji normalitas dilakukan dengan perhitungan data berupa tes keterampilan berbicara pretest dan posttest menggunakan rumus Chi Kuadrat kemudian setelah data berdistribusi normal dilakukan uji homogenitas yang diperoleh dari hasil perhitungan pretest-posttest, selanjutnya dilakukan uji hipotesis dengan uji t menggunakan perhitungan data posttest siswa. Hasil analisis data didapatkan nilai Thitung 11,011 yang nilainya lebih besar dari Ttabel 2,015, berdasarkan hipotesis penelitian, maka Ho ditolak dan Hₐ diterima. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh Metode Debat Terhadap Keterampilan Berbicara Siswa Kelas V SDN 3 Purwawinangun. Dan hasil uji n-gain didapatkan nilai kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,414 > 0,294 kelas kontrol, sehingga terdapat peningkatan Keterampilan Berbicara siswa setelah menggunakan Metode Debat.

This research aims to determine the effect of applying the Debate Method on the Speaking Skills of Class V Students at SDN 3 Purwawinangun. The problem at this school is the lack of students' speaking skills. The type of research used is Quasi Experimental Design, Nonequivalent Control Group Design type. The population in this study was 43 students. The data collection methods used are tests and observations. The normality test was carried out by calculating the data in the form of a pretest and posttest speaking skills test using the Chi Square formula, then after the data was normally distributed, a homogeneity test was carried out obtained from the results of the pretest-posttest calculations, then a hypothesis test was carried out with a t test using student posttest data calculations. The results of data analysis obtained a Tcount value of 11.011 which was greater than Ttable 2.015, based on the research hypothesis, Ho was rejected and Hₐ was accepted. This shows that there is an influence of the Debate Method on the Speaking Skills of Class V Students at SDN 3 Purwawinangun. And the results of the n-gain test obtained a score for the experimental class of 0.414 > 0.294 for the control class, so that there was an increase in students' speaking skills after using the Debate Method.
