Abstract

Latar belakang dalam penelitian ini adalah rendahnya hasil belajar peserta didik pada muatan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial (IPAS) yang disebabkan oleh penggunaan model pembelajaran yang kurang variatif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan: (1) perbedaan hasil belajar antara peserta didik yang menerapkan model pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning (kelas eksperimen) dengan peserta didik yang menggunakan model Direct Instruction (kelas kontrol). (2) perbedaan peningkatan hasil belajar antara peserta didik yang menerapkan model pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning (kelas eksperimen) dengan peserta didik yang menggunakan model Direct Instruction (kelas kontrol). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian quasi eksperimen dan desain non-equivalent control group. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas V SD Negeri 3 Cikijing. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah instrumen tes. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah uji prasyarat stastik, uji hipotesis dan uji N-Gain. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar antara peserta didik yang menerapkan model pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning (kelas eksperimen) dengan peserta didik yang menggunakan model Direct Instruction (kelas kontrol). (2) terdapat perbedaan peningkatan hasil belajar antara peserta didik yang menerapkan model pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning (kelas eksperimen) dengan peserta didik yang menggunakan model Direct Instruction (kelas kontrol), yang dibuktikan dengan hasil uji-t dan uji N-gain. Hasil uji-t pada tes akhir (posttest) diperoleh T_hitung 2.06 > T_tabel 2,02 sehingga sehingga H1 diterima. Sedangkan nilai pada kelas eksperimen memperoleh nilai N-gain 0,74 dan nilai pada kelas kontrol sebesar 0,53.

The background to this research is the low learning outcomes of students in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) content which is caused by the use of less varied learning models. This research aims to describe: (1) differences in learning outcomes between students who apply the Contextual Teaching and Learning learning model (experimental class) and students who use the Direct Instruction model (control class). (2) differences in improvement in learning outcomes between students who apply the Contextual Teaching and Learning learning model (experimental class) and students who use the Direct Instruction model (control class). This research uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental research type and a non-equivalent control group design. The subjects in this research were class V students at SD Negeri 3 Cikijing. The data collection technique used in this research is a test instrument. The data analysis techniques used in this research are statistical prerequisite tests, hypothesis tests and N-Gain tests. The results of this research show that (1) there are differences in learning outcomes between students who apply the Contextual Teaching and Learning learning model (experimental class) and students who use the Direct Instruction model (control class). (2) there is a difference in the increase in learning outcomes between students who apply the Contextual Teaching and Learning learning model (experimental class) and students who use the Direct Instruction model (control class), as proven by the results of the t-test and N-gain test. The results of the t-test in the final test (posttest) obtained T_count 2.06 > T_table 2.02 so that H1 was accepted. Meanwhile, the value in the experimental class obtained an N-gain value of 0.74 and the value in the control class was 0.53.
