Abstract

Global Islamic Boarding School Yayasan Hasnur Centre merupakan Lembaga Pendidikan yang berlokasi di Kab. Barito Kuala, Kalimantan Selatan. Pengetahuan dan informasi masyarakat di Kalimantan Selatan tentang Global Islamic Boarding School hanya tersebar melalui mulut ke mulut, yang menyebabkan informasi yang tersebar hanya pada kalangan tertentu saja, sehingga hal ini menjadi alasan dibuatnya motion graphic ini. Motion graphic ini bertujuan sebagai media informasi mengenai sekolah tersebut yang bertujuan untuk menambah wawasan baik bagi orang tua maupun anak usia 12-17 tahun yang ingin menentukan sekolahnya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini meliput analisis SWOT, dengan pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan studi Pustaka, serta menggunakan teori MDLC (Multimedia Development Life Cycle) dalam proses perancangannya. Hasil dari perancangan ini menunjukkan bahwa 84.32% responden menyukai video motion graphic sebagai media informasi, yang termasuk dalam kategori layak untuk di publikasi. Kesimpulan dari perancangan video motion graphic sebagai media informasi ini adalah bahwa media ini dapat membantu orangtua dan anaknya mendapatkan informasi mengenai Global Islamic Boarding School, serta menjadi media informasi yang baik bagi masyarakat.

Global Islamic Boarding School Yayasan Hasnur Centre is an educational institution located in Barito Kuala, South Kalimantan. The knowledge and information among people in South Kalimantan about Global Islamic Boarding School only spread through word of mouth, which only leads the information into certain circles, leading to the creation of this motion graphic. This motion graphic creation aims to serve informational media about the school that aims to increase both parents and children among 12-17 insight who are looking to decide on the children’s school. The methods used in this creation include SWOT analysis, with data collection through observation, interviews, and literature review, and have used MDLC (Multimedia Development Life Cycle) in creation process. The result of this motion graphic shows that 84.32% of respondents liked motion graphic video as informational media, which considered feasible for publication. The conclusion of this branding design process as an informational media could help parents and their children to obtain information about Global Islamic Boarding School, and serve as a good informational video for society.
