Abstract

Rendahnya hasil belajar siswa pada muatan Matematika disebabkan oleh penggunaan model pembelajaran yang diterapkan, siswa belum maksimal dalam memecahkan masalah, siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam bekerja secara kelompok, siswa menganggap pelajaran matematika pelajaran yang sulit, serta keterampilan dan kemampuan siswa tergolong rendah sehingga rendahnya hasil belajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan (1) perbedaan hasil belajar siswa yang menggunakan model problem based learning (kelas eksperimen) dengan siswa yang menggunakan model direct intruction (kelas kontrol), (2) perbedaan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa yang menggunakan model problem based learning (kelas eksperimen) dengan siswa yang menggunakan model direct intruction (kelas kontrol). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian quasi eksperimen dan desain non-equivalent control group. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SD Negeri Kadatuan. Pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah instrumen tes sebanyak 20 soal dan dokumentasi sebagai data pendukung. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, uji hiptesis, dan uji N-gain. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) perbedaan hasil belajar siswa yang menggunakan model problem based learning (kelas eksperimen) terdapat perbedaan dibuktikan dengan hasil uji-t pada tes akhir (post-test) diperoleh THitung (9,54) > TTabel (2,026) sehingga H1 diterima, (2) perbedaan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa yang menggunakan model problem based learning (kelas eksperimen) dapat dibuktikan dengan hasil uji N-gain memperoleh nilai n-gain 0,77 dengan kriteria “Tinggi”.

The low student learning outcomes in Mathematics content are caused by the use of the learning model applied, students are not maximized in solving problems, students have difficulty in working in groups, students consider math lessons difficult lessons, and students' skills and abilities are low so that low learning outcomes. This study aims to describe (1) the difference in learning outcomes of students who use the problem-based learning model (experimental class) with students who use the direct instruction model (control class), (2) the difference in the improvement of learning outcomes of students who use the problem-based learning model (experimental class) with students who use the direct instruction model (control class). This study used a quantitative approach with a type of quasi-experimental research and a non-equivalent control group design. The subjects in this study were fourth grade students of SD Negeri Kadatuan. Data collection used in this study was a test instrument of 20 questions and documentation as supporting data. Data analysis techniques in this study were normality test, homogeneity test, hyptesis test, and N-gain test. The results of this study indicate that (1) the difference in student learning outcomes using the problem-based learning model (experimental class) there is a difference as evidenced by the results of the t-test on the final test (post-test) obtained THitung (9,54) > TTabel (2,026) so that H1 is accepted, (2) the difference in improving student learning outcomes using the problem-based learning model (experimental class) can be proven by the results of the N-gain test obtained an n-gain value of 0,77 with "High" criteria.
