Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi adanya suatu kendala yang dihadapi siswa kelas VIIIB SMP Negeri 5 Kuningan terkait penggunaan media dan model pembelajaran pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia terutama pada materi teks berita. Oleh karena itu, peneliti mencoba menggunakan media video peristiwa dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran project based learning untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis teks berita. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah 1) Bagaimana rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran keterampilan menulis teks berita melalui media video peristiwa dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning untuk siswa kelas VIII B SMP Negeri 5 Kuningan? 2) Bagaimana pelaksanaan pembelajaran keterampilan menulis teks berita melalui media video peristiwa dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning untuk siswa kelas VIII B SMP Negeri 5 Kuningan? 3) Bagaimana hasil keterampilan menulis teks berita melalui media video peristiwa dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning untuk siswa kelas VIII B SMP Negeri 5 Kuningan? Metode Penelitian yang digunakan adalah Metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Teknik Penelitian yang digunakan adalah observasi dan tes. Kesimpulan Kesimpulan Berdasarkan hasil observasi penilaian rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran siklus 1 diperoleh skor 89,2% sedangkan skor pada siklus ke 2 diperoleh skor 97,6%, maka terdapat peningkatan sebesar 8,4%. Berdasarkan hasil observasi penilaian pelaksanaan pembelajaran skor yang diperoleh 87,5% sedangkan siklus ke 2 diperoleh skor 97,7%, maka terdapat peningkatan sebesar 10,2%. Berdasarkan hasil menulis teks berita melalui video peristiwa dengan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning siklus 1 diperoleh pada siklus 1 nilai rata rata yang diperoleh adalah sebesar 69,5 sedangkan pada siklus 2 nilai rata data yang diperoleh mengalami peningkatan menjadi 84,1. Maka ada peningkatan 14,6. Hal ini terbukti bahwa keterampilan menulis teks berita melalui video peristiwa dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa.

This research was motivated by an obstacle faced by class VIIIB students at SMP Negeri 5 Kuningan regarding the use of media and learning models in Indonesian language subjects, especially news text material. Therefore, researchers tried to use event video media by applying a project based learning model to improve news text writing skills. The formulation of the problem in this research is 1) What is the plan for implementing learning about news text writing skills through event video media by applying the Project Based Learning learning model for class VIII B students at SMP Negeri 5 Kuningan? 2) How is the learning of news text writing skills implemented through event video media by applying the Project Based Learning learning model for class VIII B students at SMP Negeri 5 Kuningan? 3) What are the results of news text writing skills through event video media by applying the Project Based Learning learning model for class VIII B students at SMP Negeri 5 Kuningan? The research method used is the Classroom Action Research Method (PTK). The research techniques used are observation and tests. Conclusion Based on the observation results of the assessment of the learning implementation plan for cycle 1, a score of 89.2% was obtained, while the score for the second cycle was 97.6%, so there was an increase of 8.4%. Based on the results of observations of the assessment of learning implementation, the score obtained was 87.5%, while in the second cycle the score was 97.7%, so there was an increase of 10.2%. Based on the results of writing news texts through event videos using the Project Based Learning learning model in cycle 1, in cycle 1 the average value obtained was 69.5, while in cycle 2 the average value of the data obtained increased to 84.1. So there is an increase of 14.6. It is proven that the skill of writing news text through event videos by applying the Project Based Learning learning model can improve student learning outcomes.
