Abstract

Guru dalam melaksanakan kegiatan belajar mengajar perlu menyusun modul ajar yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan minat siswa. Kemampuan literasi numerasi merupakan salah satu kemampuan yang harus dimiliki oleh siswa. Maka dari itu diperlukan modul ajar yang dapat mengakomodasi kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses pengembangan, kevalidan dan kepraktisan modul ajar dengan model discovery learning serta mendeskripsikan hasil peningkatan kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa melalui uji N-Gain. Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE yang terdiri dari 5 tahap yang meliputi tahap analisis, tahap perancangan, tahap pengembangan, tahap penerapan dan tahap evaluasi. Penelitian dilakukan pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2023/2024 di kelas VIII B SMP Negeri 2 Kuningan yang berjumlah 28 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini berupa wawancara, lembar validasi, lembar angket respon guru, lembar angket siswa dan tes. Data yang diperoleh akan menghasilkan data proses pengembangan, data kevalidan dan data kepraktisan modul ajar serta data peningkatan kemampuan literasi numerasi melalui uji N-Gain. Data hasil penelitian terhadap validasi modul ajar yang dilakukan oleh tiga orang validator memperoleh nilai rata-rata 90,31% dengan kategori sangat valid. Kepraktisan modul ajar berdasarkan angket respon guru memperoleh nilai rata-rata 79,16% dengan kategori praktis. Sedangkan hasil uji kepraktisan modul ajar berdasarkan angket respon siswa memperoleh nilai rata-rata 82,41% dengan kategori sangat praktis. Untuk melihat peningkatan kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa dilakukan uji N-Gain dan memperoleh hasil rata-rata pretest sebesar 31,07 dan hasil rata-rata post-test sebesar 81,42 sehingga diperoleh nilai N-Gain sebesar 0,73 yang artinya kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa memiliki peningkatan tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penelitian pengembangan ini menghasilkan modul ajar dengan model discovery learning untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa kelas VIII SMP pada materi relasi dan fungsi yang teruji kevalidan dan kepraktisannya serta terjadinya peningkatan terhadap kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa. Selanjutnya, modul ajar ini diharapkan agar tidak hanya dikembangkan pada materi relasi dan fungsi saja, masih banyak materi lain yang dapat dikembangkan menggunakan model discovery learning untuk dapat membantu siswa dalam meningkatkan kemampuan literasi numerasi di kelas.

In carrying out teaching and learning activities, teachers need to develop teaching modules that suit students' needs and interests. Numeracy literacy ability is one of the abilities that students must have. Therefore, teaching modules are needed that can accommodate students' numeracy literacy ability. This research aims to describe the development process, validity and practicality of teaching modules using the discovery learning model and to describe the results of increasing students' numeracy literacy ability through the N-Gain test. This research uses the ADDIE development model which consists of 5 stages which include the analysis stage, design stage, development stage, implementation stage and evaluation stage. The research was conducted in the even semester of the 2023/2024 academic year in class VIII B of SMP Negeri 2 Kuningan, totaling 28 students. The instruments used in this research were interviews, validation sheets, teacher response questionnaire sheets, student questionnaire sheets and tests. The data obtained will produce development process data, validity data and practicality data for teaching modules as well as data on increasing numeracy literacy ability through the N-Gain test. Data from research on the validation of teaching modules carried out by three validators obtained an average score of 90.31% in the very valid category. The practicality of the teaching module based on the teacher response questionnaire obtained an average score of 79.16% in the practical category. Meanwhile, the results of the practicality test of the teaching module based on the student response questionnaire obtained an average score of 82.41% in the very practical category. To see the increase in students' numeracy literacy ability, an N-Gain test was carried out and obtained an average pre-test result of 31.07 and an average post-test result of 81.42, resulting in an N-Gain value of 0.73, which means numeracy literacy ability. students have high improvement. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that this development research has produced a teaching module with a discovery learning model to improve the numeracy literacy ability of class VIII SMP students on relationship and function material whose validity and practicality have been tested as well as an increase in students' numeracy literacy ability. Furthermore, it is hoped that this teaching module will not only be developed on relationship and function material, there is still a lot of other material that can be developed using the discovery learning model to help students improve their numeracy literacy ability in the classroom.
