Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis anak pada mata pelajaran PPKn di kelas IV. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran sinektik berbasis dongeng terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis anak pada mata pelajaran PPKn kelas IV. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan quasi eskperimental dengan desain penelitian Randomized Posttest Only Control Group Design, subjek penelitian kelas IVA sebagai kelas eksperimen berjumlah 24 siswa dan kelas IVB sebagai kelas kontrol dengan jumlah 24 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes tulis bentuk essay. Analisis data yang digunakan dalam kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol menggunakan rumus uji t dan rumus uji n-gain. Hasil penelitian (posttest) yang menggunakan model pembelajaran sinektik di peroleh uji t dengan nilai nilai thitung = 23,54 thitung (23,54) > ttabel (1,67). Hasil penelitian tersebut menyatakan bahwa hipotesis pertama yang diajukan adalah H1 diterima. Nilai rata-rata gain siswa kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,34 (sedang) dan kelas kontrol sebesar 0,11 (rendah) hal ini menunjukan bahwa penggunaan model pembelajaran sinektik berbasis dongeng terdapat pengaruh peningkatkan yang signifikan terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis anak pada mata pelajaran PPKn di kelas IV.

This research was motivated by the low critical thinking skills of children in Civics subjects in class IV. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of the fairy tale-based synthetic learning model on children's critical thinking abilities in class IV Civics subjects. This research method uses a quasi-experimental research design with a Randomized Posttest Only Control Group Design, research subjects in class IVA as an experimental class totaling 24 students and class IVB as a control class with a total of 24 students. The instrument used in this research was a written test in the form of an essay. Data analysis used in the experimental class and control class used the t test formula and n-gain test formula. The results of the research (posttest) using the synectic learning model were obtained by a t test with a value of tcount = 23.54 tcount (23.54) > ttable (1.67). The results of this research state that the first hypothesis proposed is that H1 is accepted. The average gain value of students in the experimental class was 0.34 (medium) and the control class was 0.11 (low). This shows that the use of a fairy tale-based synthetic learning model has a significant increasing effect on children's critical thinking abilities in Civics subjects in class IV.
