Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of social media, financial technology, and financial literacy on the investment interest of Kuningan University students. The background of this study is based on the trend of an increase in the number of investors in Indonesia, which is not in line with student participation in investing. This study uses a quantitative method with a survey approach. The research population consists of all 5,650 students at Kuningan University, while the sample was determined using the Slovin formula to be 385 respondents. The sampling technique used stratified proportional random sampling, and data was collected through questionnaires. Data analysis was performed using multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS 25 software. The results show that social media, financial technology, and financial literacy simultaneously have a significant effect on investment interest. Partially, the social media variable has a positive and significant effect on investment interest, financial technology has a negative effect on investment interest, while financial literacy has a positive and significant effect and is the most dominant variable. These findings emphasize the importance of financial literacy and the appropriate use of digital media to encourage students to invest more wisely.
