Abstract

Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah rendahnya hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPAS dan kurangnya penerapan model pembelajaran yang bervariatif sehingga pembelajaran menjadi monoton dan kurang menarik. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPAS di kelas IV SD Negeri Cirukem Kabupaten Kuningan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian Quasi Eksperimen dengan desain penelitian Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV A dengan jumlah siswa 20 orang dan siswa kelas IV B 20 orang. Teknik yang digunakan untuk menganalisis data yaitu uji normalitas, homogenitas, hipotesis (uji-t), dan uji N-gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan thitung = 3,194 > ttabel = 2,0243 dan pada perhitungan N-Gain kelas eksperimen diperoleh nilai rata-rata gain = 0,55 dengan kriteria “sedang”, sedangkan pada kelas kontrol diperoleh nilai nilai rata-rata gain = 0,43 dengan kriteria “sedang”. Sehingga, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan peningkatan hasil belajar antara kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dengan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning.

The background to this research is the low student learning outcomes in science subjects and the lack of application of varied learning models so that learning becomes monotonous and less interesting. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning learning model on student learning outcomes in science and science subjects in class IV of SD Negeri Cirukem, Kuningan Regency. This research uses a Quasi Experimental research method with a Non-Equivalent Control Group Design research design. The subjects of this research were class IV A students with a total of 20 students and 20 class IV B students. The techniques used to analyze data are normality, homogeneity, hypothesis (t-test), and N-gain tests. The results of the research show tcount = 3.194 > tTabel = 2.0243 and in the N-Gain calculation for the experimental class the average gain value = 0.55 with the "medium" criteria, while in the control class the average gain value = 0. 43 with "medium" criteria. So, it can be concluded that there is a difference in the increase in learning outcomes between the experimental class which uses the Problem Based Learning learning model and the control class which uses the Project Based Learning learning model.
