Abstract

Pembelajaran yang dilakukan berpusat pada guru, siswa kurang aktif dan jarang
melakukan kegiatan praktik pada saat proses pembelajaran menjadi penyebab
rendahnya keterampilan proses sains siswa di sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini bertujuan
untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Children Learning in Science
(CLIS) terhadap keterampilan proses sains siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan
metode kuantitatif dengan desain quasi eksperimen. Subjek penelitian kelas V SD
Negeri 2 Jatimulya sebagai kelas eksperimen dengan jumlah 27 siswa dan kelas V
SD Negeri 1 Cikeusik sebagai kelas kontrol dengan jumlah 26 siswa. Model
pembelajaran Children Learning in Science (CLIS) sebagai variabel bebas dan
keterampilan proses sains sebagai variabel terikat. Teknik pengumpulan data
menggunakan tes tertulis untuk mengukur keterampilan proses sains. Analisis data
menggunakan statistik parametrik untuk mengukur keterampilan proses sains siswa
dan uji-t untuk menguji hipotesis penelitian terkait keterampilan proses sains siswa.
Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa model pembelajaran Children Learning in
Science (CLIS) berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan proses sains siswa di Kelas V
SD Negeri 2 Jatimulya materi Sistem Peredaran Darah Manusia lebih tinggi
dibandingkan dengan di SD Negeri 1 Cikeusik. Selain itu, keterampilan proses sains
siswa menunjukan bahwa kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dengan kategori tinggi,
sedangkan untuk kelas kontrol dengan kategori sedang. Sehingga dapat
disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran Children Learning in Science (CLIS)
memiliki pengaruh terhadap keterampilan proses sains siswa. Saran yang dapat
digunakan sebagai bahan pertimbangan dalam penelitian dalam penelitian ini yaitu
bagi kepala sekolah hendakya memberikan motivasi, dukungan, dan masukan
kepada guru-guru agar mengembangkan kreativitas dalam proses mengajar. Bagi
guru, diharapkan mampu memahami dan menerapkan model pembelajaran yang
lebih efektif. Untuk peneliti selanjutnya dapat dijadikan sebagai bahan masukan
dalam penelitian yang sama ataupun model Children Learning in Science (CLIS)
dikembangakan pada muatan pelajaran lain terhadap keterampilan proses sains

The learning process is centered on the teacher, students are less achive rarely do
practical activities during the learning process, which is the cause of low science
process skills of student in elementary schools. This study aims to determine the
effect of the Children Learning in Science (CLIS) learning model on students’
science process skills. This study uses a quantitative method with a quasiexperimental class with a quasi-experimental design. The subjects of the study were
grade V of SD Negeri 2 Jatimulya as an experimental class with 27 students and
grade V of SD Negeri 1 Cikeusik as a control class with 26 students. The Children
Learning in Science (CLIS) learning model as an independent variable and science
process skills as a dependent variable. Data collection techniques used written tests
to measure science process skills. Data analysis used parametric statistics to
measure students' science process skills and t-tests to test research hypotheses
related to students' science process skills. The results showed that the Children
Learning in Science (CLIS) learning model had an effect on students' science
process skills in Grade V of SD Negeri 2 Jatimulya as the Human Circulatory
System material higher than in SD Negeri 1 Cikeusik. In addition, students' science
process skills show that the experimental class is higher with a high category, while
for the control class with a medium category. So it can be concluded that the
Children Learning in Science (CLIS) learning model has an influence on students'
science process skills. The suggestions that can be considered in this research are
as follows: for the principal, it is expected to provide motivation, support, and input
to teachers in order to foster creativity in the teaching process. For teachers, it is
expected that they are able to understand and apply more effective learning models.
For future researchers, this study can serve as input for similar research, or the
Children Learning in Science (CLIS) model can be further developed in other
subjects to enhance students’ science process skills.
