Abstract

The difficulty of students in changing hijaiyah letters into Latin letters, as well as the tendency to memorize without understanding and understanding the material presented, results in learning completeness in the material going down, and boredom in learning. To overcome this problem, an Educational Game of Hijaiyah Letters was made which aims to help students to help students understand the change of hijaiyah letters into Latin letters and be able to provide a variety of questions by applying the Fisher-Yates Shuffle algorithm to randomize the position of letters in each game session. The development method used is Game Development Life Cycle (GDLC) which consists of initiation, pre-production, production, testing, and post-production stages. The results showed that, the application of randomization using the Fisher-Yates Shuffle algorithm successfully randomized the position of questions and answers in each game session, thus reducing the possibility of students memorizing the same pattern. Based on the UAT (User Acceptance Test) conducted on 3 teachers and 25 students, a feasibility score of 92.22% from teachers and 89.92% from students was obtained. In addition, the posttest results showed an increase in understanding from 20% to 84% of students who scored above the KKM after playing the game.
