Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh siswa yang belum memahami atau belum berpengalaman dalam menulis makalah karya tulis ilmiah. Guru harus berusaha melaksanakan pembelajaran menulis makalah dengan menarik dan variatif agar siswa senang dalam pembelajaran menulis makalah. Berdasarkan latar belakang masalah di atas, Tujuan penelitian adalah 1) Untuk mendeskripsikan perencanaan pembelajaran karya tulis ilmiah dengan menggunakan model project based learning pada siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Garawangi; 2) Untuk mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan pembelajaran karya tulis ilmiah dengan menggunakan model project based learning pada siswa kelas dan 3) Untuk mendeskripsikan hasil karya tulis ilmiah dengan menggunakan model project based learning pada siswa kelas XI. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Kesimpulan berdasarkan hasil observasi penilaian rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran siklus 1 diperoleh skor 81,6% sedangkan pada siklus 2 skor yang diperoleh 100% maka terdapat peningkatan sebesar 18,4 %. Pelaksanaan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model Project Based Learning dalam menulis makalah karya tulis ilmiah, pada siklus 1 mencapai 20 orang siswa yang tuntas dan sebanyak 16 orang siswa yang belum tuntas. sedangkan pada siklus 2 mencapai 33 orang siswa yang termasuk kriteria tuntas dan sebanyak 3 orang siswa belum tuntas. Berdasarkan pembelajaran menulis makalah melalui model Project Based Learning pada siklus 1 nilai ratarata yang dipeoleh sebesar 70%, sedangkan pada siklus 2
nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh mengalami peningkatan menjadi 78% maka ada peningkatan sebesar 10%. Hal ini terbukti bahwa keterampilan menulis makalah karya tulis ilmiah dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa.

This research was motivated by students who did not understand or had no experience in writing scientific papers. Teachers must try to carry out learning to write papers in an interesting and varied way so that students enjoy learning to write papers. Based on the background of the problem above, research objectives are 1) To describe the planning for learning scientific writing using the project based learning model for class XI students at SMA Negeri 1 Garawangi, 2) To describe the implementation of learning scientific writing using the project model based learning for class students, and 3) To describe the results of scientific writing using the project based learning model for class XI students. In this research, the Classroom Action Research (PTK) method was used. Conclusions based on the observation results of the learning implementation plan for cycle 1 obtained a score of 81.6%, while in cycle 2 the score obtained was 100%, so there was an increase of 18.4%. Implementation of learning using the Project Based Learning model in writing scientific papers, in cycle 1 reached 20 students who completed and as many as 16 students who did not complete. while in cycle 2 there were 33 students who met the criteria for completion and as many as 3 students had not yet completed. Based on learning to write papers through the Project Based Learning model in cycle 1 the average value obtained was 70%, while in cycle 2 the average value obtained increased to 78% so there was an increase of 10%. It is proven that the skill of writing scientific papers by applying the Project Based Learning learning model can improve student learning outcomes.
