The independent curriculum is a curriculum that focuses on the transformation of the curriculum after the pandemic. This curriculum is learner-oriented, so teachers are given the freedom to use teaching materials according to the needs and interests of students. The main type of teaching materials used are printed teaching materials, such as textbooks. The textbooks used by schools are published by the government and the private sector, such as textbooks published by the Ministry of Education and Culture and Erlangga, so the purpose of this study is to describe the comparison of content feasibility in Indonesian language textbooks for grade X of the Merdeka Curriculum published by the Ministry of Education and Culture and published by Erlangga based on the assessment criteria of the National Education Standards Agency, including material suitability, material accuracy, material currency, encouraging curiosity, and practicum and entrepreneurship. The method used is descriptive qualitative, with data acquisition techniques such as literature study and documentation and data processing techniques in the form of analysis. Based on the results of the material and content analysis, the two textbooks are declared to have content feasibility in accordance with the learning outcomes and learning objectives of class X of the Merdeka Curriculum. However, the Indonesian language textbook published by Erlangga is superior to the Indonesian language textbook published by the Ministry of Education and Culture, because the Indonesian language textbook published by Erlangga contains more complete and varied learning and enrichment videos. However, the selection and use of the best textbooks in schools is returned to school policies tailored to the needs in the learning process.
