ABSTRACT
The research was conducted to analyze the types of code-switching used by Nessie Judge in YouTube channel entitled "JANGAN NONTON KALO GAK KUAT!! | #NERROR". In this research, the researcher analyzed the problem types of code-switching in the right context when code-switching is used. This research used Wardaugh's theory as developed by Hoffmann's theory to analyze types of code-switching. Hoffman describes four Types of code-switching which: Inter-sentential switching, Intra-sentential switching, Tag Switching, and establishing continuity with the previous speaker. In this research, a qualitative research method based on content analysis was used in this research. Various data collection methods, such as video search, video watching, audio listening, and code-switching identification, were used. Consequently, the researcher conducted several steps in analyzing the data, including familiarization and organization, coding and reduction, interpretation, and representation. After analyzing the data, the researcher identified 63 instances of code-switching in Nessie Judge's video titled "JANGAN NONTON KALO GAK KUAT!! | #NERROR." The most frequently used type of code-switching was tag-switching, which accounted for 47.62%, followed by intra-sentential switching at 39.68% and inter-sentential switching at 12.70%. The data from Nessie Judge's YouTube channel were analyzed using Wardaugh's theory as developed by Hoffman. From the data, the researcher concluded that code-switching practices are indeed employed by Nessie Judge with the aim of educating viewers in the use of the English language, particularly in the context of code-switching.

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis jenis-jenis alih kode yang digunakan oleh Nessie Judge dalam channel YouTube berjudul “JANGAN NONTON KALO GAK KUAT!! | #NERROR”. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menganalisis jenis permasalahan alih kode dalam konteks yang tepat ketika alih kode digunakan. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori Wardaugh yang dikembangkan oleh teori Hoffmann untuk menganalisis jenis-jenis alih kode. Hoffman menguraikan empat jenis alih kode yaitu: Peralihan antar kalimat, Peralihan intra-kalimat, Peralihan Tag, dan menjalin kesinambungan dengan penutur sebelumnya. Dalam penelitian ini, metode penelitian kualitatif berdasarkan analisis isi digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Berbagai metode pengumpulan data, seperti pencarian video, menonton video, mendengarkan audio, dan identifikasi alih kode, digunakan. Oleh karena itu, peneliti melakukan beberapa langkah dalam menganalisis data, termasuk pengenalan dan pengorganisasian, pengkodean dan reduksi, interpretasi, dan representasi. Setelah menganalisis data, peneliti mengidentifikasi 63 kejadian alih kode dalam video Nessie Judge yang berjudul “JANGAN NONTON KALO GAK KUAT!! | #NERROR.” Jenis alih kode yang paling banyak digunakan adalah alih kode dengan persentase 47,62%, disusul peralihan intra kalimat sebanyak 39,68%, dan peralihan antar kalimat sebanyak 12,70%. Data dari channel YouTube Nessie Judge dianalisis menggunakan teori Wardaugh yang dikembangkan oleh Hoffman. Dari data tersebut, peneliti menyimpulkan bahwa praktik alih kode memang dilakukan oleh Nessie Judge dengan tujuan untuk mengedukasi pemirsa dalam penggunaan bahasa Inggris, khususnya dalam konteks alih kode.
