Abstract

Toko 17 Speedshop experiences problems in managing motorcycle spare part inventory, which is still carried out manually, resulting in frequent overstock and stock shortages. This issue is caused by the absence of a forecasting system that can assist in determining stock requirements more accurately. This study aims to develop a webbased sales forecasting system by implementing the Double Exponential Smoothing (DES) Brown method for motorcycle spare part sales. The research is conducted using historical sales data from January to December 2025, which is then processed to generate predictions for the next period. The forecasting method was tested using sales data of the Small Drat 10x15 Titanium Bolt product as the forecasting sample. The results show that the DES Brown method produces a Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) value of 8.40%, which is categorized as very good because it is below 10%. In addition, the system produces a sales forecast for January 2026 of 48.5534 units, which is rounded to 49 units. The system is expected to assist Toko 17 Speedshop in decision-making related to inventory management so that stock control becomes more effective and well-directed.
