Psikologi dalam sastra sebagai karya yang mencerminkan kehidupan manusia, sering kali menggambarkan konflik batin, trauma, dan perjuangan psikologis tokohtokohnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan aspek psikologi tokohtokoh dalam novel cantik itu luka berdasarkan teori psikoanalisis Sigmund Freud, yang mencakup tiga struktuur keperibadian yaitu id, ego, dan superego. Ketiga aspek ini digunakan untuk mengungkapkan motif, konflik batin, serta dinamika kejiwaan para tokoh dalam novel tersebut. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik analisis, yaitu dengan mengkaji dialog, narasi, dan tindakan para tokoh yang mencerminkan struktur kepribadian tersebut. Data dikumpulkan melalui dokumentasi dan studi pustaka terhadap novel Cantik Itu Luka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aspek id dalam novel ini muncul melalui dorongan naluriah dan hasrat bawah sadar tokohtokohnya, seperti nafsu, kemarahan, dan keinginan membalas dendam. Aspek ego terlihat dalam upaya para tokoh menyesuaikan keinginan mereka dengan realitas sosial yang ada, termasuk strategi dan pertimbangan rasional dalam mengambil keputusan. Sementara itu, aspek superego tercermin dalam nilai-nilai moral, rasa bersalah, serta konflik batin ketika tindakan tokoh berseberangan dengan norma atau etika. Psychology in literature, as a work that reflects human life, often portrays inner conflicts, trauma, and the psychological struggles of its characters. This study aims to describe the psychological aspects of the characters in the novel Beauty is a Wound based on Sigmund Freud’s psychoanalytic theory, which includes the three structures of personality: id, ego, and superego. These aspects are used to reveal the motives, inner conflicts, and psychological dynamics of the characters in the novel. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative, with analytical techniques involving the examination of dialogues, narratives, and actions of the characters that reflect the personality structures. Data were collected through documentation and literature study of the novel Beauty is a Wound. The results of the study show that the id aspect in the novel appears through the instinctual drives and unconscious desires of the characters, such as lust, anger, and the desire for revenge. The ego aspect is evident in the characters’ efforts to align their desires with social reality, including rational strategies and considerations in decisionmaking. Meanwhile, the superego aspect is reflected in moral values, feelings of guilt, and internal conflicts when characters’ actions contradict norms or ethics.
