Abstract

Pentingnya keterampilan pemecahan masalah dan keterampilan proses sains bagi peserta didik dalam pembelajaran abad 21, fakta dilapangan mengungkap bahwa meningkatkan keterampilan pemecahan masalah dan keterampilan proses sains siswa masih menjadi tantangan. Model pembelajaran yang digunakan belum mampu memfasilitasi siswa untuk meningkatkan keterampilan pemecahan masalah dan keterampilan proses sains karena proses pembelajarannya masih dilakukan secara teoritis didalam kelas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peningkatan keterampilan pemecahan masalah dan keterampilan proses sains siswa melalui pembelajaran guided inquiry berbasis mini riset. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yakni pre-eksperimental dengan desain One- Group Pretest-Posttest. Sampel dalam penelitian diambil secara purposive dengan jumlah 70 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk pengambilan data adalah tes uraian, asessment kinerja, angket dan lembar observasi pembelajaran. Analisis data dilakukan dengan uji non parametrik menggunakan wilcoxon signed rank test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata keterampilan pemecahan masalah siswa yaitu 84,30% (sangat baik) sedangkan rata-rata keterampilan proses sains siswa yaitu 80,90% (sangat baik) dan nilai peningkatannya sebesar 0,68 dengan kategori sedang. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran guided inquiry berbasis mini riset dapat digunakan untuk memfasilitasi siswa dalam meningkatkan keterampilan pemecahan masalah dan keterampilan proses sains siswa.

The importance of problem solving skills and science process skills for students in 21st century learning, facts in the field reveal that improving students' problem solving skills and science process skills is still a challenge. The learning model used has not been able to facilitate students to improve problem solving skills and science process skills because the learning process is still carried out theoretically in the classroom. This research aims to analyze the improvement of students' problem solving skills and science process skills through guided inquiry learning based on mini research. The research method used was pre-experimental with a One-Group Pretest-Posttest design. The sample in the research was taken purposively with a total of 70 students as an experimental class. The instruments used for data collection were description tests, performance assessments, questionnaires and learning observation sheets. Data analysis was carried out using non-parametric tests using the Wilcoxon signed rank test. The research results showed that the average value of students' problem solving skills was 84.30% (very good) while the average value of students' science process skills was 80.90% (very good) and the improvement value was 0.68 in the medium category. It can be concluded that guided inquiry learning based on mini research can be used to facilitate students in improving their problem solving skills and science process skills.
