Abstract

ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa
pada muata IPAS yang disebabkan kurangnya pendekatan pembelajaran yang
sesuai yang tidak melibatkan siswa secara aktip. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk
mendeskripsikan perbedaan dan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa yang
menggunakan pendekatan Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge
(TPACK) di kelas eksperimen dengan pendekatan saintifik di kelas kontrol.
Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode quasi
eksperimen dan desain nonequivalent control group pretest – posttest. Subjek
penelitian adalah siswa kelass V SDN 2 Purwawinangun yang terdiri dari 22 siswa
kelas eksperimen dan 20 siswa kelas kontrol. Variable bebas dalam penelitian ini
adalah pendekatan Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge (TPACK)
dan variable terikatnya adalah kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Teknik
pengumpulan data menggunakan tes tulis berupa pretest dan posttest berbentuk
essay. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah uji
normalitas, uji homogenitas, uji t, dan N-Gain. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan
bahwa nilai thitung sebesar 4,62 dan ttabel sebesar 7,81 yang berati H1 diterima H0
ditolak. Hal ini terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara kelas eksperimen yang
menggunakan pendekatan Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge
(TPACK) dengan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan pendekatan saintifik. Selain itu
nilai N-Gain kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,70 dan kelas kontrol sebesar 0,29 yang
menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan Technological Pedagogical and Content
Knowledge (TPACK) lebih efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis
siswa dibandingkan dengan pendekatan saintifik.

ABSTRACT
This research is motivated by the low critical thinking skills of students in the IPAS
subject, which is caused by the lack of appropriate learning approaches that do not
actively involve students. The purpose of this research is to describe the differences
and improvements in students' critical thinking skills using the Technological
Pedagogical and Content Knowledge (TPACK) approach in the experimental class
compared to the scientific approach in the control class. This research employs a
quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method and a nonequivalent
control group pretest-posttest design. The subjects of the research are fifth-grade
students of SDN 2 Purwawinangun, consisting of 22 students in the experimental
class and 20 students in the control class. The independent variable in this research
is the Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge (TPACK) approach, and
the dependent variable is the students' critical thinking skills. The data collection
technique used written tests in the form of pretests and posttests in essay format.
The data analysis techniques used in this study are normality test, homogeneity test,
t-test, and N-Gain. The results of this study show that the calculated t value is 4.62
and the table t value is 7.81 which means H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected. This
indicates a significant difference between the experimental class using the
Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge (TPACK) approach and the
control class using the scientific approach. Furthermore, the N-Gain value for the
experimental class is 0.70 and for the control class is 0.29, indicating that the
Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge (TPACK) approach is more
effective in improving students' critical thinking skills compared to the scientific
approach.
