Penelitian ini bersumber dari pemahaman bahwa karya sastra, khususnya novel, tidak semata-mata berperan sebagai media naratif, melainkan juga sebagai konstruksi wacana yang memuat praktik ideologis, kekuasaan, dan struktur sosial. Novel "Tuhan Izinkan Aku Menjadi Pelacur" karya Muhidin M. Dahlan dipilih sebagai objek kajian karena merepresentasikan resistensi terhadap dominasi otoritas keagamaan serta mengandung kompleksitas sosial yang relevan dengan konteks masyarakat kontemporer. Kajian ini menerapkan pendekatan Analisis Wacana Kritis (AWK) model Norman Fairclough guna mengungkap dinamika tersebut melalui tiga dimensi analisis: teks, praktik wacana, dan praktik sosial. Permasalahan yang dikaji mencakup bagaimana ketiga dimensi tersebut terartikulasikan dalam struktur naratif dan ideologis novel. Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan serta menganalisis keterkaitan antara bahasa, kekuasaan, dan realitas sosial sebagaimana direpresentasikan dalam karya sastra. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui studi pustaka dan dokumentasi. Analisis dilakukan berdasarkan model Fairclough yang meliputi: dimensi teks (representasi, relasi, dan identitas), praktik wacana (produksi dan konsumsi teks), serta praktik sosial (kondisi situasional, institusional, dan makro-sosial). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa novel ini secara sistematis mengonstruksi wacana kritik terhadap sistem keagamaan yang hegemonik melalui strategi naratif dan representasi tokoh. Proses produksi dan konsumsi teks mengindikasikan adanya keterlibatan aktif penulis dan pembaca dalam membentuk makna ideologis. Sementara itu, dimensi praktik sosial memperlihatkan relevansi teks terhadap kondisi sosial keagamaan yang menjadi latar lahirnya wacana tersebut Simpulannya, novel ini dapat diposisikan sebagai artefak wacana kritis yang tidak hanya mengungkap relasi kuasa, tetapi juga mendorong pembentukan kesadaran sosial terhadap isu-isu ideologi, agama, dan kekuasaan dalam masyarakat.

This research is based on the understanding that literary works, especially novels, do not merely act as narrative media, but also as discourse constructions that contain ideological practices, power, and social structures. The novel "Tuhan Ijinkan Aku Menjadi Pelacur" by Muhidin M. Dahlan was chosen as the object of study because it represents resistance to the dominance of religious authority and contains social complexity that is relevant to the context of contemporary society. This study applies the Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) approach of Norman Fairclough's model to reveal these dynamics through three dimensions of analysis: text, discourse practice, and social practice. The problems studied include how these three dimensions are articulated in the narrative and ideological structure of the novel. The main objective of this study is to describe and analyze the relationship between language, power, and social reality as represented in literary works. The research method used is qualitative descriptive with data collection techniques through library studies and documentation. The analysis is carried out based on Fairclough's model which includes: text dimensions (representation, relations, and identity), discourse practice (production and consumption of text), and social practice (situational, institutional, and macro-social conditions). The results of the study show that this novel systematically constructs a critical discourse on the hegemonic religious system through narrative strategies and character representation. The process of text production and consumption indicates the active involvement of the author and reader in shaping ideological meaning. Meanwhile, the social practice dimension shows the relevance of the text to the socio-religious conditions that are the background to the birth of the discourse. In conclusion, this novel can be positioned as a critical discourse artifact that not only reveals power relations, but also encourages the formation of social awareness of issues of ideology, religion, and power in society.
