Permasalahan dari penelitian ini adalah rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa yang dicirikan oleh ketergantungan pada bacaan buku dan kurangnya inisiatif dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan secara mandiri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis Pengaruh Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatiftipe Team Game Tournament (TGT) terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas XI dalam mata pelajaran Ekonomi SMA Negeri 1 Ciwaru. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Quasi Eksperimental dengan desain Non- Equivalent Control Group. Penelitian ini melibatkan dua kelompok siswa, yaitu kelompok eksperimen yang mendapatkan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Team Games Tournament (TGT) dan kelompok Kontrol dengan Metode Ceramah. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis antara kelas eksperimen yang mendapatkan model pembelajaran tipe Team Games Tournament (TGT) dengan siswa kelas Kontrol yang mendapatkan Metode Ceramah. Perbedaan ini dapat dilihat dari kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa pada kelas eksperimen yang mendapatkan model Pembelajaran Kooperatif tipe Team Games Tournament (TGT) memperoleh hasil lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan siswa kelas Control yang mendapatkan Metode Ceramah. The problem of this study is the low critical thinking ability of students characterized by dependence on reading books and lack of initiative in solving problems independently. This study aims to analyze the Effect of Implementing the Team Game Tournament (TGT) Cooperative Learning Model on the critical thinking ability of class XI students in the Economics subject of SMA Negeri 1 Ciwaru. The research method used is Quasi Experimental with a Non-Equivalent Control Group design. This study involved two groups of students, namely the experimental group that received cooperative learning type Team Games Tournament (TGT) and the Control group with the Lecture Method. The results of the analysis showed that there was a significant difference in critical thinking ability between the experimental class that received the Team Games Tournament (TGT) learning model and the Control class students who received the Lecture Method. This difference can be seen from the creative thinking ability of students in the experimental class who received the Team Games Tournament (TGT) Cooperative Learning model obtained higher results compared to students in the Control class who received the Lecture Method. Therefore, the use of the Team Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning model can improve students' critical thinking skills. Suggestions or recommendations
