Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa di kelas IV SDN 1 Ciporang, Kecamatan Kuningan. Kabupaten Kuningan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan dan peningkatan penggunaan model pembelajaran cooperative integrated reading and composition (CIRC) berbantuan media komik digital terhadap kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa di sekolah dasar siswa di kelas IV SDN 1 Ciporang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu Quasi Experimental Design yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu Nonequivalent Kontrol Group Design. Desain penelitian ini terdapat dua kelompok yang dipilih yaitu kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Subjek penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas IV SDN 1 Ciporang yang berjumlah 60 siswa diantaranya yaitu 30 siswa pada kelas IV A dan 30 siswa di kelas IV B. Pada desain ini tes yang dilakukan sebanyak dua kali, yaitu pretest dan posttest. Pemberian posttest ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran cooperative integrated reading and composition (CIRC) berbantuan media komik digital terhadap kemampuan membaca pemahaman pada kelas eksperimen. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengetahui tingkat kemampuan membaca pemahaman adalah dengan menggunakan indikator membaca pemahaman. Berdasarkan pengujian hipotesis diperoleh bahwa thitung sebesar dan ttabel sebesar data tersebut menunjukan bahwa 8,195 > 1,672 atau thitung 8,195 > 1,672 ttabel. Artinya H0 ditolak dan H₁ diterima, dengan demikian uji hipotesis N-Gain dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan membaca pemahaman antara siswa yang menggunakan Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) berbantuan media komik digital dengan siswa yang menggunakan model direct instruction.

This research is motivated by the low reading comprehension ability of students in grade IV of SDN 1 Ciporang, Kuningan District, Kuningan Regency. This research was conducted with the aim of knowing the differences and improvements in the use of the cooperative integrated reading and composition (CIRC) learning model assisted by digital comic media on students' reading comprehension ability in elementary school students in grade IV of SDN 1 Ciporang. The method used in this research is Quasi Experimental Design used in this research is Nonequivalent Control Group Design. This research design has two selected groups, namely the experimental group and the control group. The subjects of this research were all grade IV students of SDN 1 Ciporang, totaling 60 students, including 30 students in grade IV A and 30 students in grade IV B. In this design, the test was conducted twice, namely pretest and posttest. The administration of this posttest aims to determine the effect of the use of the cooperative integrated reading and composition (CIRC) learning model assisted by digital comic media on reading comprehension ability in the experimental class. The instrument used to determine the level of reading comprehension ability is to use reading comprehension indicators. Based on the hypothesis testing, it was obtained that t count was and t table was the data showed that 8.195 > 1.672 or t count was 8.195 > 1.672 t table. This means that H0 is rejected and H₁ is accepted, thus the N-Gain hypothesis test can be concluded that there is a difference in increasing reading comprehension ability between students who use Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) assisted by digital comic media and students who use the direct instruction model.
