Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi Virtual Reality (VR) dan Metaverse telah membuka peluang baru dalam meningkatkan pengalaman pengguna di berbagai bidang, termasuk pendidikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan membangun aplikasi VR berbasis Metaverse untuk Fakultas Ilmu Komputer Universitas Kuningan. Aplikasi ini dirancang sebagai media promosi interaktif dan alat bantu navigasi kampus dengan menerapkan Algoritma Dijkstra untuk menentukan rute terpendek di lingkungan virtual.
Fitur utama aplikasi mencakup visualisasi 3D lingkungan kampus, navigasi berbasis rute terpendek, serta integrasi informasi lokasi penting seperti ruang kelas, laboratorium, dan fasilitas umum. Algoritma Dijkstra digunakan untuk menghitung rute optimal antara titik awal (gerbang utama) dan lokasi tujuan yang dipilih pengguna. Prototipe aplikasi diuji menggunakan metode black-box, white-box dan UAT(User Acceptance Testing) untuk memastikan fungsionalitas dan akurasi navigasi.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi ini dapat memberikan pengalaman interaktif dan efisien bagi pengguna dalam menavigasi lingkungan kampus secara virtual. Selain itu, aplikasi ini berpotensi meningkatkan daya tarik calon mahasiswa terhadap Fakultas Ilmu Komputer Universitas Kuningan. Implementasi ini diharapkan menjadi langkah awal dalam mengintegrasikan teknologi Metaverse di institusi pendidikan tinggi di Indonesia.

The development of Virtual Reality (VR) and Metaverse technologies has created new opportunities to enhance user experiences in various fields, including education. This study aims to design and develop a VR-based Metaverse application for the Faculty of Computer Sciences at Universitas Kuningan. The application is designed as an interactive promotional tool and a navigation aid for the campus, implementing Dijkstra's Algorithm to determine the shortest route within the virtual environment.
The main features of the application include 3D visualization of the campus environment, shortest-path navigation, and integrated information on key locations such as classrooms, laboratories, and public facilities. Dijkstra's Algorithm is utilized to calculate the optimal route between the starting point (main gate) and user-selected destinations. The prototype application is tested using a black-box, white box and UAT(User Acceptance Testing) methods to ensure functionality and navigation accuracy.
The result indicates that the application provides an interactive and efficient experience for users navigating the campus virtually. Additionally, the application has the potential to attract prospective students to the Faculty of Computer Sciences at Universitas Kuningan. This implementation is expected to be a preliminary step in integrating Metaverse technology into higher education institutions in Indonesia.
