Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media
audio visual terhadap hasil belajar siswa, serta bagaimana motivasi belajar siswa
dipengaruhi oleh media tersebut. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasieksperimen dengan melibatkan siswa kelas VIII di MTs Ma’arif Cipakem,
Kabupaten Kuningan. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua kelompok, yaitu kelompok
eksperimen yang diberikan media audio visual dan kelompok kontrol tanpa media
tersebut. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes pretest dan posttest serta observasi.
Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan, penggunaan media audio visual
terbukti memberikan dampak yang signifikan terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Hal ini
dapat dilihat dari perbandingan hasil pretest dan posttest antara kelompok
eksperimen dan kontrol. Pada kelompok eksperimen yang menggunakan media
audio visual, terjadi peningkatan yang signifikan, yaitu dari nilai rata-rata pretest
sebesar 43,04 menjadi 82,38 pada posttest. Sebaliknya, pada kelompok kontrol
yang tidak menggunakan media audio visual, meskipun ada peningkatan, namun
tidak sebaik kelompok eksperimen, yaitu dari 42,30 menjadi 73,59.Hasil ini
menunjukkan bahwa media audio visual mampu memfasilitasi proses belajar
siswa dengan lebih baik dibandingkan metode konvensional. Media ini membantu
siswa untuk memahami konsep yang sulit melalui tampilan visual dan suara yang
lebih interaktif, sehingga memudahkan mereka dalam mengingat dan memproses
informasi.

This research aims to determine the effect of using audio-visual media on
student learning outcomes, as well as how student learning motivation is
influenced by this media. The research method used was a quasi-experiment
involving class VIII students at MTs Ma'arif Cipakem, Kuningan Regency. This
research used two groups, namely an experimental group that was given audiovisual media and a control group without this media. Data was collected through
pretest and posttest as well as observation. This research provides important
implications for teachers in improving the effectiveness of the teaching and
learning process through the use of appropriate learning media. Based on the
results of research that has been conducted, the use of audio visual media has been
proven to have a significant impact on student learning outcomes. This can be
seen from the comparison of pretest and posttest results between the experimental
and control groups. In the experimental group that used audio visual media, there
was a significant increase, namely from the average pretest score of 43.04 to
82.38 in the posttest. On the other hand, in the control group which did not use
audio visual media, although there was an increase, it was not as good as the
experimental group, namely from 42.30 to 73.59. These results show that audio
visual media is able to facilitate students' learning process better than
conventional methods. . This media helps students understand difficult concepts
through more interactive visual and sound displays, making it easier for them to
remember and process information.
