Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan fakta empiris dan model mengenai pengaruh cash holding, bonus plan, kebijakan dividen, leverage, profitabilitas, dan ukuran perusahaan terhadap income smoothing. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dan verifikatif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Data yang digunakan adalah data sekunder yang diperoleh menggunakan teknik observasi tidak berpartisipasi. Populasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah perusahaan subsektor makanan dan minuman yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia tahun 2018-2022 sebanyak 84 perusahaan selama 5 tahun. Sampel diambil dengan menggunakan purposive sampling, dan diperoleh sebanyak 53 perusahaan atau 265 data pengamatan. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis regresi data panel. Pengolahan data menggunakan program Eviews 9.0. Berdasarkan hasil uji goodness of fit menunjukkan bahwa model regresi fit dengan data. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukan bahwa cash holding, bonus plan, leverage, profitabilitas, dan ukuran perusahaan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap income smoothing. Sedangkan kebijakan dividen berpengaruh negatif tidak signifikan terhadap income smoothing.

This research aims to produce empirical facts and models regarding the influence of cash holding, bonus plan, dividend policy, leverage, profitability, and company size on income smoothing. The method used in this research is a descriptive and verification method with a quantitative approach . The data used is secondary data obtained using non-participating observation techniques. The population used in this research are 84 companies in the food and beverage subsector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2018-2022 for 5 years. Samples were taken using purpossive sampling, and 53 companies or 265 observation data were obtained. The data analysis technique used is panel data regression analysis. Data processing uses the Eviews 9.0 program. Based on the results of the goodness of fit test, it show that the regression model fit the data. Hypothesis test results show that cash holding, bonus plan, leverage, profitability, and company size have a positive and significant effect on income smoothing. Meanwhile, dividend policy has an insignificant negative effect on income smoothing.
