Abstract

UD. Karunia Jaya merupakan perusahaan distributor besi dan baja ringan yangsudah berdiri dari tahun 2009. Saat ini UD. Karunia jaya hanya menggunakan namasebagai identitas perusahaan, dengan penggunaan tifografi yang belum konsistensedangkan banyak usaha lain juga yang menggunakan nama yang sama. Corporateidentity adalah salah satu cara untuk sebuah badan usaha membentuk citra bagiperusahaannya. Dengan corporate identity yang baik akan membuat perusaantampak konsisten dan berbeda dengan perusahaan lain. Penelitian ini bertujuanuntuk merancang corporate identity dan kemudian di implementasikan kedalammedia-medianya yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan perusahaan di industri besi danbaja. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulandata melalui wawancara, observasi dan studi literatur yang kemudian dianalisisdengan metode SWOT. Metode perancangan yang digunakan yaitu metode prosesidentisa merek universal Alina Wheeler, dengan tahapan melakukan riset, membuatstrategi, mendesain identitas, mencipatakan titik sentuh, dan mengatur asset.Penelitian ini menghasilkan corporate visual berupa logo, elemen visual sepertiwarna dan tipografi yang dirancang berdasarkan ciri khas dari perusahaan untukmemperkuat identitas merek, sehingga nantinya mudah dikenali oleh masyarakatdan berbeda dengan perusahaan lain. Identitas perusahaan yang dibuat kemudian diimplemenatsikan keberbagai media corporate identity berupa stationery office,seragam, merchandise, signage dan kendaraan perusahaan.

viiiABSTRACTUD. Karunia Jaya is a distributor of iron and lightweight steel, established since2009. Currently, UD. Karunia Jaya uses only its name as its corporate identity,with inconsistent typography, while many other businesses also use the same name.Corporate identity is a way for a business entity to shape its image. A goodcorporate identity will make the company appear consistent and distinct from othercompanies. This study aims to design a corporate identity and implement it intomedia that meets the needs of companies in the iron and steel industry. The researchemploys qualitative methods, utilizing data collection techniques such asinterviews, observations, and literature studies, which are subsequently analyzedusing the SWOT method. The design process follows Alina Wheeler's universalbrand identity approach, which includes stages like conducting research, creatinga strategy, designing the identity, establishing touchpoints, and managing assets.This research led to the creation of corporate visuals, including a logo and visualelements such as colors and typography, designed to reflect the company'scharacteristics and strengthen its brand identity. It makes the brand easilyrecognizable and distinct from competitors. The newly developed corporate identityis then applied across various media, including office stationery, uniform,merchandise, signage, and company vehicles.
