Penelitian ini merupakan sebuah analisis strategi kesantunan tindak tutur dan prinsip kesantunan berbahasa pada ketiga calon presiden Indonesia dalam debat 2024. Setelah menyimak dan memperhatikan dalam debat tersebut tuturan ketiga calon presiden masih terdapat beberapa tuturan yang dirasa kurang santun seperti menjatuhkan satu sama lain. Rumusan masalah dan tujuan dalam penelitian ini 1)Untuk mendeskripsikan strategi tindak tutur yang dilakukan para calon presiden dalam debat capres 2024; 2)Untuk mendeskripsikan pemenuhan dan pelanggaran prinsip kesantunan berbahasa para calon presiden dalam debat capres 2024; 3)Untuk mendeskripsikan perbandingan kesantunan berbahasa para calon presiden dalam debat capres 2024 menurut teori Brown dan Levinson serta Leech. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif analisis kualitatif dengan pemerolehan data simak catat. Hasil penelitian yaitu kesantunan berbahasa menurut teori strategi kesantunan tindak tutur Brown dan Levinson membuktikan bahwa tuturan yang paling banyak menggunakan penyelamatan muka positif atau kesantunan positif ialah Anies Rasyid Baswedan sebanyak 45 tuturan yang menggunakan strategi bertutur terus terang tanpa basa-basi dan bertutur terus terang dengan basa-basi kesantunan positif. Selanjutnya tuturan yang paling banyak menggunakan penyelamatan muka negatif atau kesantunan negatif adalah Ganjar Pranowo sebanyak 40 tuturan yang menggunakan strategi bertutur dengan basa-basi kesantunan negatif dan bertutur samar-samar. Sedangkan kesantunan berbahasa menurut teori prinsip/maksim kesantunan Leech menyatakan bahwa tuturan calon presiden yang banyak melakukan pemenuhan prinsip kesantunan menurut Leech adalah Anies Rasyid Baswedan sebanyak 55 tuturan dengan dominan pemenuhan maksim kebijaksanaan. Selanjutnya tuturan calon presiden yang banyak melanggar prinsip kesantunan Leech yaitu tuturan Prabowo Subianto sebanyak 34 tuturan dengan banyak melakukan pelanggaran maksim penerimaan dengan baik.

This research is an analysis of the politeness strategy of speech acts and the principle of language politeness in the three Indonesian presidential candidates in the 2024 debate. After listening and paying attention in the debate, the three presidential candidates still had some remarks that were considered impolite, such as knocking each other down. The formulation of the problem and objectives in this study 1) To describe the speech action strategies carried out by presidential candidates in the 2024 presidential debate; 2) To describe the fulfillment and violation of the principle of politeness in the language of presidential candidates in the 2024 presidential debate; 3) To describe the comparative politeness of the language of the presidential candidates in the 2024 presidential debate according to the theories of Brown and Levinson and Leech. The method used is descriptive qualitative analysis with data acquisition. The results of the study, namely language politeness according to the theory of politeness strategies, speech acts, Brown and Levinson, proved that the speech that most used positive face saving or positive politeness was Anies Rasyid Baswedan as many as 50 utterances who used the strategy of speaking frankly without further ado, and speaking frankly with small talk, positive politeness. Furthermore, the speech that uses the most negative face rescue or negative politeness is Ganjar Pranowo as many as 39 utterances that use speech strategies with small talk, negative politeness and vague speech. While politeness in language according to the theory of maxims of politeness, Leech stated that the speech of the presidential candidate who fulfilled the principle of politeness according to Leech was Anies Rasyid Baswedan as many as 55 utterances with the dominant fulfillment of the maxim of wisdom. Furthermore, the speech of the presidential candidate who violated Leech's principle of politeness was Prabowo Subianto's speech as many as 34 utterances with many violations of the maxim of good acceptance.
