Abstract

Get – House of English Kuningan merupakan tempat pelatihan/kursus Bahasa Inggris di Kuningan, Jawa Barat, yang menggunakan ujian online sebagai penentuan level kursus. Dalam proses pelaksanaan ujian masuk calon siswa diberikan 50 soal dengan google form sebagai media ujian. Sistem yang berjalan memiliki permasalahan yaitu tidak efisien waktu dikarenakan calon siswa harus mendatangi Get - House untuk dapat melihat hasil level kursus. Serta dalam pemberian soal ujian yang belum seimbang tingkat kesulitan soalnya membuat hasil penentuan level tidak sesuai dengan standar tempat kursus. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan media alternatif berupa aplikasi ujian online penentuan level. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk membuat aplikasi penentuan level kursus berbasis mobile dengan mengimplementasikan algoritma Linear Congruent Method untuk metode pengacakan soal dalam fitur quiz sehingga setiap calon siswa mendapat urutan soal yang tidak sama dan implementasi algoritma LCM berada dalam blok setiap tingkatan soal, konsep ini digunakan untuk memastikan bahwa setiap calon siswa mendapatkan soal dari setiap block soal yang berisi tingkat kesulitan yang beragam. Pengacakan algoritma dimulai dengan pemilihan nilai kunci LCM, yaitu nilai a, c, dan m agar pengacakan dapat berjalan dengan sempurna, dalam aplikasi terdapat fitur register, login, home, manage user, manage quiz, quiz dan history quiz. Perancangan yang digunakan adalah Rich Picture dan Unified Modeling Langueage(UML) dengan metode pengembangan sistem yaitu Extreme Programming (XP). Berdasarkan hasil pengujian UAT dari calon siswa dengan hasil persentase 82,7% menyatakan bahwa aplikasi ujian online penentuan level kursus ini dapat digunakan sebagai aplikasi ujian online penentuan level kursus di Get – House Of English Kuningan.

Get – House of English Kuningan is an English language training center in Kuningan, West Java, that uses online exams to determine course levels. Currently, prospective students are given 50 questions via Google Forms for the exam. However, the existing system has inefficiencies, as prospective students must visit Get – House to see their course level results. Additionally, the exam questions' difficulty levels are imbalanced, leading to inaccurate course level determinations according to the center's standards. Therefore, an alternative solution in the form of a mobile-based online exam application for level determination is needed. This research aims to create such an application by implementing the Linear Congruent Method (LCM) algorithm for question randomization in the quiz feature. This ensures that each prospective student receives a different sequence of questions. The LCM algorithm is applied within a block to ensure each prospective student gets questions from each block containing various difficulty levels. The randomization algorithm begins with the selection of LCM key values, namely the values of �, �, and �, to ensure perfect randomization. The application includes features such as registration, login, home, user management, quiz management, quiz, and quiz history. The design methods used are Rich Picture and Unified Modeling Language (UML), with the system development method being Extreme Programming (XP). Based on User Acceptance Testing (UAT) results from prospective students, with a score of 82.7%, it is concluded that this mobile-based online exam application can be effectively used for course level determination at Get – House Of English Kuningan.
