Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya minat menulis teks narasi pada peserta didik dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan media komik strip “Si Juki” dalam pembelajaran menulis teks narasi melalui model PjBL di kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Kuningan. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah a. Bagaimana kemampuan awal peserta didik merangkai kalimat dalam menulis teks narasi di kelas VII SMPN 1 Kuningan? b. Bagaimana hasil pembelajaran menulis teks narasi setelah menggunakan media komik strip “Si Juki” dengan model PjBL di kelas VII SMPN 1 Kuningan? c. Bagaimana efektivitas media pembelajaran komik strip “Si Juki” dalam pembelajaran menulis teks narasi model PjBL kelas VII SMPN 1 Kuningan? Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pre-eksperimen dengan desain one group pretest-posttest. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 34 siswa kelas VII I yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes menulis teks narasi sebelum (pretest) dan setelah (posttest) penerapan media komik strip "Si Juki" dengan model PjBL. Analisis data meliputi uji normalitas Shapiro-Wilk, uji N-Gain, dan uji hipotesis menggunakan uji-t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam kemampuan menulis teks narasi siswa. Nilai rata-rata pretest sebesar 35,29 (kategori sangat kurang) meningkat menjadi 75 (kategori cukup) pada posttest. Uji N-Gain menunjukkan peningkatan sebesar 61,075% (kategori cukup efektif), dan uji-t mengonfirmasi perbedaan signifikan antara pretest dan posttest (Thitung = 17,24 > Ttabel = 2,03). Dengan demikian, media komik strip "Si Juki" efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menulis teks narasi siswa.

This study was motivated by the lack of interest in writing narrative texts in students with the aim of determining the effectiveness of using the comic strip media "Si Juki" in learning to write narrative texts through the PjBL model in class VII of SMP Negeri 1 Kuningan. The formulation of the problem in this study is a. How is the initial ability of students to construct sentences in writing narrative texts in class VII of SMPN 1 Kuningan? b. What are the results of learning to write narrative texts after using the comic strip media "Si Juki" with the PjBL model in class VII of SMPN 1 Kuningan? c. How is the effectiveness of the comic strip learning media "Si Juki" in learning to write narrative texts with the PjBL model in class VII of SMPN 1 Kuningan? The research method used was a pre-experiment with a one group pretest-posttest design. The research sample consisted of 34 students of class VII I who were selected by purposive sampling. Data were collected through a narrative text writing test before (pretest) and after (posttest) the application of the "Si Juki" comic strip media with the PjBL model. Data analysis included the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, the N-Gain test, and hypothesis testing using the t-test. The results showed a significant increase in students' narrative text writing skills. The average pretest score of 35.29 (very poor category) increased to 75 (sufficient category) in the posttest. The N-Gain test showed an increase of 61.075% (quite effective category), and the t-test confirmed a significant difference between the pretest and posttest (Tcount = 17,24 > Ttable = 2.03). Thus, the "Si Juki" comic strip media is effective in improving students' narrative text writing skills.
