Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan visual thinking siswa di sekolah yang diakibatkan karena kurangnya bahan ajar yang mampu memfasilitasi kemampuan visual thinking siswa, serta materi lingkaran yang masih dianggap sulit oleh siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan suatu produk berupa e-modul yang valid dan praktis serta efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan visual thinking siswa. Pelaksanaan penelitian ini dilakukan pada siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Kadugede dengan subjek yang digunakan yaitu sebanyak 36 siswa kelas XI C. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian pengembangan atau Research and Development (R&D) dengan model penelitian ADDIE yang meliputi tahapan analysis (analisis), design (perancangan), development (pengembangan), implementation (implementasi), dan evaluation (evaluasi). Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar validasi ahli media, ahli materi, angket respon guru dan siswa serta hasil penilaian kemampuan visual thinking di awal (pretest) dan setelah pembelajaran (postest). E-modul yang telah dikembangkan divalidasi oleh tiga validator ahli yang terdiri dari dosen fakultas komputer, dosen pendidikan matematika, dan guru matematika. Adapun hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa validasi ahli media sebesar 92% dengan kategori sangat valid dan hasil validasi dari ahli materi sebesar 95% dengan kategori sangat valid. Hasil dari respon guru sebesar 90% dengan kategori sangat praktis dan hasil dari respon siswa sebesar 85% dengan kategori sangat praktis. Untuk hasil rata-rata pretest sebesar 49% dengan kategori cukup dan hasil rata-rata postest sebesar 76% dengan kategori sangat baik. Selanjutnya, hasil dari n-gain sebesar 53% dengan kategori sedang. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa e-modul lingkaran berbantuan wingeom efektif dalam meningkatkan visual thinking siswa dengan kategori sedang. Hasil akhir penelitian pengembangan ini diperoleh berupa e-modul lingkaran berbantuan wingeom untuk meningkatkan visual thinking siswa yang valid, praktis, dan efektif dalam meningkatkan visual thinking siswa.

This research is motivated by the low visual thinking ability of students in schools due to the lack of teaching materials that can facilitate students' visual thinking abilities, as well as circle material that is still considered difficult by students. This study aims to produce a product in the form of an e-module that is valid and practical and effective in improving students' visual thinking abilities. The implementation of this research was carried out on students of class XI SMA Negeri 1 Kadugede with the subjects used being 36 students of class XI C. This study used a research and development method or Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE research model which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Data collection techniques used validation sheets from media experts, material experts, teacher and student response questionnaires and the results of visual thinking ability assessments at the beginning (pretest) and after learning (posttest). The e-module that had been developed was validated by three expert validators consisting of lecturers from the computer faculty, lecturers from mathematics education, and mathematics teachers. The results of this study indicate that the validation of media experts is 92% with a very valid category and the validation results from material experts are 95% with a very valid category. The results of teacher responses are 90% with a very practical category and the results of student responses are 85% with a very practical category. For the average pretest results of 49% with a sufficient category and the average posttest results of 76% with a very good category. Furthermore, the results of the n-gain are 53% with a moderate category. This shows that the e-module circle assisted by wingeom is effective in improving students' visual thinking with a moderate category. The final results of this development research are obtained in the form of an e-module circle assisted by wingeom to improve students' visual thinking which is valid, practical, and effective in improving students' visual thinking.
