RANCANG BANGUN GAME EDUKASI BAHASA INGGRIS PEOPLE AROUND ME BERBASIS ANDROID MENGGUNAKAN ALGORITMA FISHER YATES.

Abstract
Bahasa Inggris adalah salah satu bahasa internasional yang memainkan peran penting dalam pendidikan di Indonesia. Pembelajaran bahasa Inggris di sekolah dianggap sangat penting, terutama di era globalisasi ini. Di MTs N 2 Kuningan, pembelajaran bahasa Inggris masih menggunakan buku paket yang dianggap terlalu formal oleh siswa, serta metode pengajaran langsung di papan tulis oleh guru. Hal ini menyebabkan siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam menyusun paragraf deskripsi untuk mendeskripsikan orang di sekitar, yang berdampak pada hasil belajar siswa di mana 72% nilai ulangan harian siswa belum mencapai KKM. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menciptakan media pembelajaran berupa game edukasi yang membantu siswa memahami materi People Around Me melalui tiga keterampilan utama bahasa Inggris: reading, listening, dan writting. Game ini menerapkan algoritma Fisher-Yates untuk mengacak soal di setiap level, serta dikembangkan menggunakan metode GDLC (Game Development Life Cycle) dan perancangan sistem dengan UML (Unified Modelling Language). Hasil pengujian UAT (User Acceptance Test) menunjukkan 78,14% siswa menerima game edukasi people around me dan menjadikannya sebagai media pembelajaran yang baru di MTs N 2 Kuningan.
English is an international language that plays a significant role in education in Indonesia. English learning in schools is considered essential, especially in this era of globalization. At MTs N 2 Kuningan, English lessons still rely on textbooks, which are perceived by students as too formal, along with direct teaching methods on the whiteboard. This has led students to struggle in composing descriptive paragraphs about people around them, impacting their learning outcomes, with 72% of students’ daily test scores falling below the minimum passing grade. This research aims to create an educational game as a learning medium to help students understand the "People Around Me" material through three main English skills: reading, listening, and writing. The game uses the Fisher-Yates algorithm to shuffle questions in each level and is developed using the GDLC (Game Development Life Cycle) method and system design with UML (Unified Modeling Language). UAT (User Acceptance Test) results show that 78.14% of students accepted the "People Around Me" educational game as a new learning medium at MTs N 2 Kuningan.
