S1 / D3 thesis, Universitas Kuningan.
Abstract
The development of information technology and the internet has driven digital transformation across various sectors. E-commerce has emerged as a modern strategy in commerce, including within the small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) sector. This study aims to design and develop an e-commerce system based on the Business to Consumer (B2C) model to support operational efficiency at Toko Teh Yayah, a clothing store located in Pasar Baru, Kuningan. The main issues faced by the store include transaction records that are still done manually, limited market reach, and suboptimal promotion and branding strategies. This research employs the Waterfall software development methodology, which consists of the stages of requirements analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. Data collection techniques used include interviews, observation, questionnaires, and literature review. The system was developed using the PHP programming language and MySQL as database, and it features 14 key components such as product, order, customer, promotion, and sales report management, as well as personalized notifications and a loyalty program. The implementation results show that the system helps the store manage sales in a more systematic way, expand market reach through an online platform, and enhance the store’s image and digital marketing strategy through an interface that reflects the brand’s identity.
