Abstract

This study aims to analyze an English textbook entitled "English for Nusantara" published by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology with a material selection framework from BSNP which includes several aspects, such as The Compatibility of Materials with CP/ATP, The Accuracy of the Material, and Supporting Materials by using qualitative methods through the application of content analysis techniques. The instrument used is document analysis. The steps of analyzing data are analyzing, recapitulating, interpreting and inferring. This research reveals that the textbook is in accordance with the textbook rules to be a reference or teaching material according to BSNP. These findings show that textbooks are 100% compatible with the framework (31 questions out of 31 questions asked). Thus, it is recommended that teachers should choose the right textbooks based on the needs of the students, as textbook authors should conduct regular retrospective evaluations of their books and make the necessary adjustments to keep updating and improving them and for further research should choose the context of the framework adapted from which the books are published and used, So the analysis is more relevant.
