Abstract

Proses pemilihan siswa untuk mengikuti Seleksi Nasional Berdasarkan Prestasi (SNBP) di SMKN 5 Kuningan saat ini hanya mempertimbangkan peringkat sepuluh besar di kelas, sehingga prestasi nonakademik tidak mendapatkan bobot penilaian dari guru. Pada tahun 2024, jumlah siswa kelas XII di SMKN 5 Kuningan mencapai 681 siswa, menyebabkan guru kesulitan dalam menyeleksi 40% siswa terbaik sesuai kuota yang ditetapkan. Untuk meningkatkan efektivitas dan akurasi dalam proses seleksi, diperlukan sistem pendukung keputusan berbasis metode ARAS (Additive Ratio Assessment) yang mampu memberikan rekomendasi siswa terbaik secara komprehensif. Kriteria yang digunakan dalam proses ini meliputi prestasi akademik, prestasi nonakademik, dan presensi kehadiran selama semester satu hingga lima. Penelitian ini mengembangkan sistem berbasis PHP dan MySQL menggunakan metode pengembangan sistem Waterfall. Sistem ini diharapkan dapat membantu guru dalam memilih calon siswa SNBP dengan lebih objektif,
efektif, dan tepat sasaran. Hasil implementasi metode ARAS pada sistem menunjukkan bahwa sistem berhasil menghasilkan rekomendasi siswa kelas XII dari berbagai jurusan yang memenuhi kriteria kelayakan untuk mengikuti SNBP. Dengan demikian, sistem ini tidak hanya mempermudah proses seleksi, tetapi juga
meningkatkan objektivitas, transparansi, dan keakuratan dalam menentukan siswa terbaik yang layak mengikuti SNBP di SMKN 5 Kuningan, sesuai dengan kuota dan ketentuan yang berlaku.

The current selection process for students participating in the National Selection Based on Achievement (SNBP) at SMKN 5 Kuningan only considers the top ten students in each class, resulting in non-academic achievements not receiving additional teacher assessment points. In 2024, the number of twelfth-grade students at SMKN 5 Kuningan reached 681, making it challenging for teachers to select the top 40% of students according to the established quota. A decision support system based on the Additive Ratio Assessment (ARAS) method is required to improve the efficiency and accuracy of this selection process, which can provide comprehensive recommendations for the best students. The criteria used in this process include academic achievements, non-academic achievements, and attendance records for semesters one through five. This research developed a system using PHP and MySQL with the Waterfall system development method. The system is expected to assist teachers in selecting SNBP candidates more objectively, effectively, and accurately. The results of the implementation of the ARAS method indicate that the system successfully provides recommendations for twelfth-grade students from various departments who meet the eligibility criteria for participation in SNBP. Thus, this system not only simplifies the selection process but also enhances objectivity, transparency, and accuracy in identifying the best-qualified students for SNBP at SMKN 5 Kuningan according to the applicable quotas and criteria.
