Abstract

Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang berjudul Pengaruh Fermentasi Media Ampas Tahu Dengan Campuran Limbah Organik Terhadap Produksi Dan Kualitas Maggot (Hermatia Illucens) yang dilakukan di Laboratorium Pendidikan Biologi FKIP Universitas Kuningan pada bulan Februari – Mei 2024. Penelitian ini memanfaatkan ampas tahu dan limbah organik sebagai media tumbuh maggot (Hermetia illucens) yang terdiri dari empat perlakuan enam pengulangan dengan variabel bebas yaitu formulasi media dan variabel terikat adalah produksi dan kualitas maggot. Hasil penelitian ini dianalisis menggunakan metode Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL – Non Faktorial) untuk menganalisis pengaruh fermentasi media ampas tahu dengan campuran limbah organik terhadap produksi dan kualitas maggot. Pada hasil penelitian produksi maggot didapatkan hasil pada berat basah bahwa Fhitung > Ftabel (0,01); 11,649 > 4,938 maka H1 diterima, berat kering Fhit > Ftab(0,05); 4,437 > 3,098 maka H1 diterima, panjang Fhitung > Ftabel (0,01); 12,063 > 4,938 maka H1 diterima, bobot Fhit < Ftab(0,05) maka H1 ditolak. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa fermentasi media ampas tahu dengan campuran limbah organik berpengaruh terhadap berat basah, berat kering dan panjang maggot namun tidak berpengaruh terhadap bobot maggot pada produksi maggot. Kemudian pada hasil penelitian kualitas maggot didapatkan hasil kadar air Fhit < Ftab(0,05); 1,154 < 3,098 maka H1 ditolak dan kadar protein Fhitung > Ftabel (0,01); 29,817 > 4,938 maka H1 diterima. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bawa fermentasi media ampas tahu dengan campuran limbah organik tidak berpengaruh terhadap kadar air namun berpengaruh terhadap kadar protein pada produksi maggot.

Based on the research titled "The Effect of Fermenting Tofu Waste Media with Organic Waste Mixture on the Production and Quality of Maggots (Hermetia illucens)" conducted in the Biology Education Laboratory of FKIP Universitas Kuningan from February to May 2024, this study utilized tofu waste and organic waste as the growing medium for maggots (Hermetia illucens). The experiment comprised four treatments with six repetitions, with the independent variable being the media formulation and the dependent variables being the production and quality of maggots. The results were analyzed using the Completely Randomized Design (CRD - Non-Factorial) method to evaluate the effect of fermenting tofu waste media with organic waste mixture on the production and quality of maggots. The study results indicated that the wet weight of maggots had Fhitung > Ftabel (0,01); 11,649 > 4,938, hence H1 was accepted. The dry weight had Fhit > Ftab(0.05); 4.437 > 3.098, thus H1 was accepted. The length showed Fhitung > Ftabel (0,01); 12,063 > 4,938, therefore H1 was accepted. However, the weight showed Fhit < Ftab(0.05), thus H1 was rejected. It can be concluded that fermenting tofu waste media with an organic waste mixture affects the wet weight, dry weight, and length of maggots but does not affect the overall weight of maggots. Regarding the maggot quality results, the moisture content showed Fhit < Ftab(0.05); 1.154 < 3.098, hence H1 was rejected, while the protein content had Fhitung > Ftabel (0,01); 29,817 > 4,938, thus H1 was accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that fermenting tofu waste media with an organic waste mixture does not affect the moisture content but does affect the protein content in maggot production.
