Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh asal benih dan jenis media tanam terhadap pembibit Porang (Amorphopallus muelleri Blume). Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah eksperimen dengan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dua faktor, yaitu asal benih dari bulbil dan umbi, dan jenis media tanam (kontrol, pupuk ayam, pupuk kambing, dan kompos). Setiap kombinasi perlakuan diulang lima kali ulangan. Analisis data menggunakan uji ANOVA dua arah. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa asal benih umbi memiliki pengaruh signifikan secara independen pada semua parameter pengamatan. Sementara kombinasi perlakuan yang memberikan hasil terbaik, yaitu B2T3, memberikan hasil terbaik pada tinggi tanaman dan diameter batang dengan nilai rata-rata tertinggi 89,6 cm dan 1,80 cm. B2T1 memberikan hasil terbaik pada jumlah daun dengan nilai rata-rata tertinggi 31, dan B2T2 memberikan hasil terbaik pada panjang akar (33,2 cm), yang secara signifikan berbeda dari umbi yang menghasilkan rata-rata terendah pada semua parameter pengamatan. Terdapat interaksi antara asal benih dan jenis media tanam pada parameter panjang akar, tetapi tidak ada interaksi pada tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, dan diameter batang.

This study aims to determine the effect of seed origin and type of planting media on Porang (Amorphopallus muelleri Blume) seedlings. The method used in this study was an experiment with a factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) of two factors, namely the origin of seeds from bulbils and tubers, and the type of planting media (control, chicken manure, goat manure, and compost. each treatment combination was repeated five times. Data analysis used two-way ANOVA. The results of this study indicate that the Origin of Bulb Seeds has a significant effect independently on all observation parameters. While the combination of treatments that produces the best results, namely B2T3, gives the best results on plant height and stem diameter with the highest average values of
89.6 cm and 1.80 cm. B2T1 gives the best results on the number of leaves with the highest average of 31 strands, and B2T2 gives the best results on root length 33.2 cm) significantly different from bulbils which produce the lowest average on all observation parameters. There is an interaction between the origin of seeds and the type of planting media on the root length parameter but there is no interaction on plant height, number of leaves, and stem diameter.
