Abstract

Lindi adalah air limbah yang dihasilkan dari proses penguraian sampah padat di Tempat Pemrosesan Akhir (TPA) dan dapat menyebabkan pencemaran lingkungan jika tidak dikelola dengan baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis konsentrasi polutan dalam air lindi dan mengevaluasi efektivitas kolam penampungan lindi dalam mengurangi beban polutan di TPA Ciniru, Kabupaten Kuningan. Metode yang digunakan kuantitatif deskriptif dengan pengambilan secara grab sampling pada kolam inlet dan outlet. Parameter yang dianalisis meliputi pH, BOD, COD, TSS, TDS, N Total, Suhu udara dan Suhu air. Hasil uji di Laboratorium dibandingkan dengan baku mutu lindi yang ditetapkan dalam Peraturan Mentri Lingkungan Hidup dan Kehutanan No.P./MENLHK/2016. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa BOD menurun sebesar 75%, COD menurun sebesar 24,13%, TDS menurun sebesar 16,34%, sementara suhu udara dan suhu air menurun masing-masing sebesar 12,65% dan 14,54%. Sebaliknya TSS meningkat sebesar 10,37% dan N Total meningkat sebesar 55,22%. Nilai pH realif stabil 7,99 – 8,19 yang masih berada dalam batas yang diperbolehkan. Secara keseluruhan, kolam penampungan air lindi di TPA Ciniru cukup efektif dalam mengurangi polutan organik yang dapat terurai secara alami, tetapi kurang efektif dalam mengendalikan padatan tersuspensi dan kandungan nitrogen. Oleh karena itu, proses pengolahan tambahan diperlukan untuk memastikan kualitas lindi seseuai standar baku mutu dan untuk meminimalkan potensi pencemaran lingkungan.

Leachate is liquid wate generated from the decomposition of solid waste in a landfill (TPA) and may cause environmental pollution if not properly managed. This study aims to analyze the concentration of pollutants in leachate and to evaluate the effectiveness of leachate retention ponds in reducing pollutant loads at the Ciniru Landfill, Kuningan Regency. A descriptive quantitative method was employed with grab sampling conducted at the inlet and outlet ponds. The analyzed parameters included pH, BOD, COD, TSS, TDS, total nitrogen, air temperature, and water temperature. Laboratory test results were compared with the leachate quality standards stipulated in the Ministry of Environment and Forestry Regulation No.P.59/MENLHK/2016. The results showed that BOD decreased by 75% (from 40 mg/L to 10 mg/L), COD decreased by 24.13% (from 29 mg/L to 22 mg/L), TDS decreased by 16.34% (from 6120 mg/L to 5120 mg/L), while air temperature and water temperature decreased by 12.65% and 14.54%, respectively. Conversely, TSS increased by 10.37% (from 135 mg/L to 149 mg/L) and total nitrogen increased by 55.22% (from 0.909 mg/L to 1.411 mg/L). The pH value remained relatively stable within the range of 7.99–8.19, which is still within the permissible limits. Overall, the retention pond at Ciniru Landfill was effective in reducing biodegradable organic pollutants but less effective in controlling suspended solids and nitrogen content. Therefore, additional treatment processes are required to ensure leachate quality complies with environmental standards and to minimize potential risks of environmental contamination.
