Abstract

Salah satu kawasan konservasi yang merupakan tempat penyebaran kalong adalah Cagar Alam Situ Panjalu, akan tetapi keberadaan pakan kalong yang ada di Cagar Alam Situ Panjalu belum banyak diketahui. Sehingga upaya dalam menjaga keberadaan dan kelestarian kalong adalah mengetahui potensi pakan dan karakter lingkungan apa saja yang mempengaruhi pakan kalong. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode petak contoh sebanyak 40 plot didalam dan di luar menggunakan interval sepanjang 100 meter per plot yang nantinya akan di analisis secara deskriptif mengenai karakteristik lingkungan ataupun potensi pakan menggunakan analisis indeks nilai penting. Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan vegetasi yang terdapat di dalam pulau cagar alam kooder di dominasi jenis huru pada semua tingkatan baik semai, pancang, tiang dan pohon. Potensi pakan yang ada di dalam pulau terdapat persentase sebanyak pohon (61,917), tiang (60,928, pancang (54,86) dan semai (55,493) dari vegetasi yang di temukan. sedangkan untuk vegetasi diluar pulau semua berpotensi sebagai pakan untuk kalong karena ditanam secara swadaya oleh masyarakat dengan jenis tertinggi pada tingkatan pohon adalah nangka Artocarpus heterophyllus. Sedangkan parameter lingkungan yang ada di cagar alam kooders meliputi suhu berkisar antara 28°C – 30°C dengan kelembaban antara 79% – 87% serta ketinggian antara 745 – 755 Mdpl dan sesuai dengan karakteristik habitat kalong yang bisa hidup di suhu antara 20°C -35°C dengan kelembaban yang tinggi

One of the conservation areas where the bats spread is the Situ Panjalu Nature Reserve, however, the existence of bat food in the Situ Panjalu Nature Reserve is not widely known. Therefore, efforts to maintain the existence and sustainability of bats are to determine the potential food and environmental characteristics that affect bat food. This study used a sample plot method of 40 plots inside and outside using an interval of 100 meters per plot which will later be analyzed descriptively regarding environmental characteristics and food potential using an important value index analysis. Based on the results of observations, the vegetation found within the Kooder Nature Reserve Island is dominated by the huru species at all levels including seedlings, saplings, poles, and trees. The potential for food on the island is a percentage of trees (61,917), poles (60,928), saplings (54,86) and seedlings (55,493) from the vegetation found. Meanwhile, for vegetation outside the island, all have the potential to be food for bats because they are planted independently by the community with the highest type at the tree level being jackfruit Artocarpus heterophyllus. Meanwhile, the environmental parameters in the Kooders nature reserve include temperatures ranging from 28°C – 30°C with humidity between 79% – 87% and an altitude between 745 – 755 meters above sea level and in accordance with the characteristics of the bat habitat which can live at temperatures between 20°C - 35°C with high humidity.
