Abstract

Berpikir kreatif merupakan salah satu keterampilan yang harus dimiliki oleh siswa dalam menghadapi tantangan abad ke-21. Melalui kemampuan berpikir kreatif, siswa dapat mengembangkan ide, penemuan, dan pemikiran yang bermanfaat dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa kelas V sekolah dasar se-Kecamatan Kuningan pada mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial (IPAS). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif dengan metode survei. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah Cluster Random Sampling, dan diperoleh sampel dari tiga sekolah, yaitu SDN 5 Purwawinangun, SDN 1 Winduhaji, dan SDN 2 Purwawinangun, dengan jumlah total 111 siswa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes, angket, dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa dalam mata pelajaran IPAS berada pada kategori cukup baik, dengan rata-rata persentase sebesar 71,25%. Penilaian ini didasarkan pada empat indikator berpikir kreatif, yaitu kelancaran (fluency), keluwesan (flexibility), keaslian (originality), dan elaborasi (elaboration), yang secara umum menunjukkan hasil yang memadai namun masih memerlukan penguatan lebih lanjut. Meskipun indikator fluency menunjukkan hasil tertinggi, beberapa indikator lainnya seperti flexibility dan elaboration masih tergolong sedang. Hasil wawancara juga mengungkap bahwa guru telah melakukan berbagai upaya seperti pemberian motivasi, penggunaan media pembelajaran yang bervariasi, serta pembentukan kelompok diskusi. Dengan demikian, untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa secara lebih optimal, diperlukan pendekatan pembelajaran yang mendorong eksplorasi, kebebasan berpendapat, dan keberanian siswa dalam menyampaikan ide-ide orisinal, serta dukungan lingkungan belajar yang kolaboratif antara guru, sekolah, dan orang tua.

Creative thinking is one of the skills that students must have in facing the challenges of the 21st century. Through creative thinking skills, students can develop ideas, discoveries, and thoughts that are useful in the learning process. This study aims to describe the creative thinking ability of grade V students of elementary schools in Kuningan District in the subject of IPAS. This study used a quantitative descriptive approach with a survey method. The sampling technique used was Cluster Random Sampling, and samples were obtained from three schools, namely SDN 5 Purwawinangun, SDN 1 Winduhaji, and SDN 2 Purwawinangun, with a total of 111 students. Data collection was done through tests, questionnaires, and interviews. The results showed that students' creative thinking skills in IPAS subjects were in the good enough category, with an average percentage of 71.25%. This assessment is based on four indicators of creative thinking, namely fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration, which generally show adequate results but still require further strengthening. Although the fluency indicator shows the highest results, several other indicators such as flexibility and elaboration are still classified as moderate. The interview results also revealed that teachers have made various efforts such as providing motivation, using various learning media, and forming discussion groups. Thus, to improve students' creative thinking skills more optimally, a learning approach is needed that encourages exploration, freedom of opinion, and students' courage in conveying original ideas, as well as support for a collaborative learning environment between teachers, schools, and parents.
