The protected forest area included in the Perum Perhutani administrative area, is one
of the secondary forests in Kuningan Regency located in Tundagan Village. It is one
of the habitats of wild boar, the existence of wild boar which is a pest is quite disturbing
to residents' plantations, and information related to the characteristics of wild boar
habitat is not widely known by the community, so research on this matter needs to be
done. Considering the existence of wild boar as a buffer for the ecosystem in the
protected forest area, the research was conducted using vegetation analysis methods
and other environmental factors, the results of the study stated that the vegetation
conditions found in the Pasir Leutik Block Area of BKPH Garawangi KPH Kuningan
consisted of Seedlings, Stake, Poles and Trees, with each dominance consisting of
Kemuning 43.24 (Seedlings), Ki Jeruk 56.62 (Stake), Mahogany 32,92 (Pole) and
Benda 33,87 (Tree), with High Diversity reaching a value of 3.99. Physical Conditions
(Temperature, humidity) have an average of 25.36° and humidity of 84.53 which is a
normal temperature and humidity that will not interfere with wild boar activity.
Topographic factors are factors that indicate wild boar activity, The height of the Pasir
Leutik block forest area of BKPH Garawangi KPH Kuningan is 472 masl to 583 masl,
an area consisting of steep, sloping and flat areas.
