Abstract

Forest and land fire disasters are a threat to the existence of forests that have a significant impact on economic and ecological losses. This study aims to map and analyze the level of forest fire danger in Mount Ciremai National Park. The variables used are land cover type, rainfall and soil type. Data processing and analysis were carried out using the scoring and overlay methods by utilizing Geographic Information System software, namely ArcGis 10.8. The results of this study indicate that there are three classes of forest fire danger levels in Mount Ciremai National Park. The low class danger level covers an area of 10.701,50 ha or 72.11%, the medium class danger level covers an area of 3.561,35 ha or 23.76%, for the high class danger level covers an area of 615,10 ha or 4.13%. Land cover with a high class fire danger level mostly comes from open land and bushes. The form of prevention by TNGC by forming the Camp Fire Care program and the Fire Care Community (MPA) is an effort to control forest fires. Forest fire prevention activities involving communities around the area are a key factor in controlling forest fires in Mount Ciremai National Park.
