Pohon memiliki peran penting dalam menjaga keanekaragaman hayati, menyerap air hujan, meningkatkan kualitas lingkungan, serta mendukung kesehatan dan kenyamanan manusia, termasuk dalam aktivitas pembelajaran. Namun, di banyak area, pohon sering menunjukkan gejala kerusakan akibat serangan hama dan penyakit, yang dapat menurunkan nilai estetika, mengganggu fungsi ekologi, serta membahayakan lingkungan sekitarnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi jenis-jenis hama dan penyakit, serta menentukan intensitas serangannya di lingkungan kampus Universitas Kuningan. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif melalui observasi sensus dan analisis Intensitas Serangan (IS). Penelitian ini mencatat sebanyak 385 individu pohon yang terdiri dari 48 jenis pohon di area kampus. Penelitian mengidentifikasi 12 jenis hama dan menemukan 5 jenis penyakit. Secara umum, intensitas serangan hama dan penyakit dikategorikan rendah, dengan nilai IS < 5%. Ulat Lymantria sp. memiliki IS tertinggi di antara hama sebesar 2,08%, menyerang tujuh jenis pohon, sementara penyakit embun jelaga menunjukkan IS tertinggi di antara penyakit, yaitu sebesar 1,49%.

Trees play an important role in maintaining biodiversity, absorbing rainwater, improving environmental quality, and supporting human health and comfort, including in learning activities. However, in many areas, trees often show symptoms of damage caused by pest and disease attacks, which can reduce their aesthetic value, disrupt ecological functions, and endanger the surrounding environment. This study aims to identify the types of pests and diseases, as well as determine the intensity of their attacks in the Universitas Kuningan campus environment. The method used is descriptive quantitative through census observation and Attack Intensity analysis. This study recorded a total of 385 individual trees consisting of 48 tree species in the campus area. The study identified 12 pest species and found 5 types of diseases. In general, the intensity of pest and disease attacks was categorized as low, with AI values < 5%. The Lymantria sp. caterpillar had the highest AI among pests at 2.08%, attacking seven tree species, while sooty mold disease showed the highest AI among diseases, at 1.49%.
