Abstract

Indonesia merupakan negara dengan ekosistem mangrove terbesar di dunia. Ekosistem mangrove memiliki peran penting baik secara ekologi maupun ekonomi pada masyarakat. Konsep ekowisata yang meliputi tiga unsur keberlanjutan yaitu aspek sosial, ekologi dan ekonomi dalam implementasinya merupakan salah satu bentuk upaya konservasi ekosistem dengan peningkatan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi serta memetakan komponen sistem sosial ekologi dan mengetahui faktor – faktor pendukung pengelolaan ekowisata mangrove. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada Januari 2025 – April 2025 di pesisir Desa Pengarengan, Kabupaten Cirebon. Metode mengumpulan data melalui pengisian kuesioner kepada masyarakat pemanfaat sumberdaya dan wisatawan. Analisis menggunakan pendekatan Sistem Sosial-Ekologi dan metode Participatory Prospective Analysis (PPA). Ekosistem mangrove dimanfaatkan sebagai areal ekowisata dan kegiatan perikanan tangkap. Komponen sosial ekologi yang meliputi Resource System (RS), Resource Unit (RU), Resource Actor (RA), dan Resouce Governance (RG) memiliki interaksi yang dapat saling mempengaruhi satu dengan lainnya. Interaksi antara komponen resources system - resources governance, resources system - resources actors, resources system - resources unit, dan resources unit - resources governance memiliki keterkaitan saling positif. Sedangkan resources actor memiliki hubungan negatif terhadap resources unit dan resources governance juga memiliki hubungan negatif terhadap resources actors. Keberhasilan dalam pengelolaan ekowisata menjadi hal penting untuk keberlanjutan pemanfaatan diwilayah tersebut. Jumlah pengunjung, harga tiket, kondisi ekosistem mangrove, dan kebijakan pemerintah merupakan faktor yang menentukan keberhasilan pengelolaan ekowisata di Desa Pengarengan.

Indonesia is a country with the largest mangrove ecosystem in the world. Mangrove ecosystems have an important role both ecologically and economically in society. The concept of ecotourism which includes three elements of sustainability, namely social, ecological and economic aspects in its implementation is one form of ecosystem conservation efforts by improving community welfare. The purpose of this study was to identify and map the components of the socio-ecological system and to determine the supporting factors for mangrove ecotourism management. This study was conducted in January 2025 – April 2025 on the coast of Pengarengan Village, Cirebon Regency. The method of collecting data was through filling out questionnaires to the community who use resources and tourists. The analysis used the Social-Ecological System approach and the Participatory Prospective Analysis (PPA) method. The mangrove ecosystem is ultilized as an ecotourism area for fishing activities. The socio-ecological components including Resources System (RS), Resources Unit (RU), Resources Actor (RA), and Resources Governance (RG) have interactions that can influence each other. The interaction between the components of resources system - resources governance, resources system - resources actors, resources system - resources unit, and resources unit - resources governance has a positive relationship. Meanwhile, resources actor has a negative relationship with resources unit and resources governance also has a negative relationship with resources actors. Success in ecotourism management is important for the sustainability of utilization in the area. The number of visistor, ticket prices, mangrove ecosystem conditions, and government policies are factors that determine the success of ecotourism management in Pengarengan Village.
