Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dengan penelitian awal tentang rendahnya kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis peserta didik, kurangnya inovasi pembelajaran, serta kesulitan belajar aljabar. Penelitian ini mengembangkan media pembelajaran cerita bergambar berbasis Articulate Storyline 3 dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui pengembangan media pembelajaran cerita bergambar menggunakan model ADDIE, menguji kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan melihat peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis peserta didik. Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VIII-G MTs Negeri 7 Kuningan.. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa hasil kevalidan dari empat ahli dibidangnya, hasil kepraktisan dari 29 peserta didik dan dua guru, serta hasil peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis diperoleh dari nilai pre-test dan post-test peserta didik. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini berupa angket penilaian dari validator ahli materi dan ahli media, kepraktisan peserta didik dan guru. Teknik analisis data pada penilitian ini dengan mengumpukan hasil penilaian kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman peserta didik. Hasil penelitian pengembangan media pembelajaran cerita bergambar untuk meningkatkan pemahaman aljabar yaitu berdasarkan validator ahli materi dan media masing masing diperoleh persentase sebesar 92,14% dan 98,42% dalam kategori “sangat valid”, berdasarkan kepraktisan peserta didik dan guru diperoleh persentase sebesar 93,84% dan 92,30% dalam kategori “sangat praktis”. Hasil pengujian peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman konsep peserta didik dalam nilai pre-test diperoleh nilai 61,21 dan nilai post-test diperoleh nilai 98,62. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data untuk mencari N-Gain hasil peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis dengan rata-rata N-Gain sebesar 0,89 dalam kategori “tinggi”. Kesimpulan penelitian ini yaitu pengembangan media pembelajaran cerita bergambar untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep aljabar sangat valid berdasarkan penilaian validator ahli, media pembelajaran sangat praktis berdasarkan penilaian peserta didik dan guru, dan media pembelajaran mampu meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep peserta didik pada materi aljabar dalam kategori tinggi. Untuk penelitian selanjutnya, harap dapat ditambahkan fitur untuk mengatur volume media pembelajaran.
This research is motivated by initial studies on the low ability of students to understand mathematical concepts, the lack of innovation in teaching methods, and difficulties in learning algebra. The study developed a picture story-based learning media using Articulate Storyline 3 with the aim of understanding the development of the learning media using the ADDIE model, testing the validity of the learning media, assessing the practicality of the learning media, and examining the improvement in students' understanding of mathematical concepts. The subjects of this research were students of class VIII-G at MTs Negeri 7 Kuningan. Data collection techniques included validity results from four experts in their fields, practicality results from 29 students and two teachers, as well as the improvement results in students' understanding of mathematical concepts obtained from pre-test and post-test scores. The instruments used in this research consisted of evaluation questionnaires from material expert validators, media expert validators, student practicality, and teacher practicality. The data analysis technique involved collecting assessment results on validity, practicality, and the improvement in students' understanding. The results of the study on the development of illustrated story learning media to improve understanding of algebra, namely based on expert validators of material and media, each obtained a percentage of 92.14% and 98.42% in the category of "very valid", based on the practicality of students and teachers, a percentage of 93.84% and 92.30% was obtained in the category of "very practical". The results of testing the improvement in students' understanding of concepts showed a pre-test score of 61.21 and a post-test score of 98.62. Based on data analysis to find the N-Gain, the average N-Gain for the improvement in understanding mathematical concepts was 0.89 in the "high" category. The conclusion of this research is that the development of picture story-based learning media to improve algebra concept understanding is very valid according to expert validator assessments, the learning media is very practical according to student and teacher assessments and can significantly improve students' understanding of algebra concepts in the high category. For future research, it is suggested to add features for adjusting the volume of the learning media.
